Seeing as that I can't find the damn Halo 3 thread, I'll just do this. Not even sure if anyone still plays Halo, but I'm pretty excited about the new map pack. I loved the original Halo so much that I refused to even play Halo 2 when it came out. So, a tribute to sidewinder map as well as a unspecified tribute to another Halo 1 map apparently should be awesome. Thoughts?

I'm hoping that the mystery map is a redo of Prisoner as it was one of my favorite CTF maps. Maybe a Chill out redo would be awesome as well.

Maps come out April 15th for 800 points

guardian is nothing compared to lockout. Im sorry. My bet is that its a midship remake or something. They said its going to a close range combat map so we will see later today.

thats your opinion. Ive played both extensively and i like halo better. Just dont like killing somone in one second. Halo is more strategic and slow paced.

real classy. Halo is just as much strategy as COD4. A different kind of strategy, but still strategy. I enjoy Halo and COD4 equally. As for the slow paced part, I don't know about that.

I can't continue to play both at the same time. The controls are fairly different. One thing that I hate in Halo is not being able to run.

<to chad's video> LOL Chad was a pistol whore like me!!! By far the best weapon in Halo.

the reason i say its slow paced is that in COD4, you die really quick with just about any gun. Essentially, whoever sees the other first wins. In halo you can get shot first and still have the time to take cover.

Yea the Cheif is wearing tank aurmor all around him. It takes a while to eat through all that.

do you expect the game to be like modern times? I hope not because it's in the future. You cant compare stuff like that between COD4 and Halo 3. Two very different games.

Okay, I just took a look at Bnet to see the new map & it really is a Lockout remake. When H3 first came out the said Guardian was a spiritual remake. Me likey.

Guardian was inspired by lockout. Blackout is essentially the same as lockout except visual changes. Weapon layout is the same. Just added the equipment powerups. Looks sick.

we're approaching spoiler territory. Though I'd rather someone spoil it for me. They'd be doing me a favor.
