Actually, it makes no difference.

Lucas took the WI 2024 NIL contract, enrolled and unenrolled before classes started, ignored the portal, and left for Miami and played. WI is stuck trying to sue him for whatever he got before classes started and Miami for tampering.

I suspect Lucas ignored the portal because his contract had language which mentioned him going in the portal to leave.

Legend Bey could do exactly the same thing before 1/4 if our contract with pays him before then and mentions using the portal as a problem.

That may be why he's keeping his mouth shut so the lawyers have nothing until he enrolls to fulfill his contract at UT, unenrolls before classes start, then enrolls at Ohio State. Just my guess of the game being played.

I'm aware of the case. Not similar.

He "ignored" the portal because Wisconsin did not process his transfer request within the required two-business-day window, blocking his entry into the portal.

The only similarity is the impermissible contact by another institution.
