This whole situation...the narrative that one of the most coveted players coming out of high school doesn't want to play for UT and does want to play for OSU...is making Tennessee look very bad, and Ohio State very good. It's a big story in the college football world, and the longer it goes on, the worse it will be for us.CJH needs to solve this problem today and get it out of the headlines. It wasn't long ago that the headlines were about Nico Iamaleava not wanting to play for UT. When was the last time you heard of a 4-star+ player not wanting to play for Alabama or Georgia or OSU? It's a bad look.
Plenty of coaches around the nation are loyal and haven’t done what Lame has. Nobody is saying he ducks but what has he won? The only thing we hear on here is oh if you haven’t won a championship then you haven’t won anything. So what’s he really won? Nothing.Don’t you know he sucks because he only has four 10 win seasons in six seasons of being there and it’s the most success OM has had in their program history?? What a loser. I’m no Kiffin fan, but the loathing over a guy that left here after one season is interesting. News flash to those that might not know, in this whole dichotomy of college football, loyalty only applies to and is a component of the fan base. For everyone else involved, as Michael Corleone said, it’s strictly business. Our opinions matter not. We better just get used to that idea.
You have to ask why the kid didn't wait a couple days or just wait till February as well.. Bizarre if you ask meIf any of this is true then how do you as a head coach allow this kid to sign knowing he doesn't want to come play for you? This is worse than being Boo 2.0 because this kid made it well known that after he flirted with UT all summer, he intended to go to OSU. But because momma wasn't happy with it and forced him to sign with UT, Heupel just went along with it?!?!? As a head coach, he's got an obligation to protect his players, staff, and the university from this kind of BS and tell this kid AND HIS MOTHER, no thanks...if you're not fully invested in being here, we don't need you nor do we want you. First Nico and big Nic, then Boo and his momma, and now this fiasco. Heupel continues to not learn a damn thing from his mistakes on and off the field and that should be eye opening for some of you. He just can't help but have drama surrounding this program. If the intent was to get the signing class rank boosted so you can have some sort of bragging rights, I think that's the wrong approach. The fallout and negative headlines this is bound to blow up into isn't worth the temporary boost in class ranking and it's 1000% on Josh Heupel. He owns this. Again, if any of what's being said is true, then this kid should be gone already. Call a press conference, wish him well wherever he ends up and cut this cancer out of the program immediately.
For all of you who thought it was a great idea to hand over millions of dollars to teenagers who's brains haven't fully developed yet (and their money hungry parents).....welcome to the chaos you asked for. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.
You get paid that amount of money, fair game.
