Looking through my rarely accurate prophetic lens, this legacy class is setting itself up like a perfectly executed blocking wedge for a kickoff return that goes the distance for a touchdown. Now it is up to Coach Jones and his staff to throw the clearing blocks that sends this massive crop of legacies onto the greensward of Shields-Watkins Field, as John Ward would have put it.

Perhaps not in those precise words, but I do remember him making reference to the "greensward" when they came on to the playing field, so I had to look it up. It is rarely used anymore, but it is an appropriate term for the context in which he used it.
