So as I’ve been watching these playoffs I’ve began to question which guy I would rather have on my team between these two guys. I respect both as lebron had probably the most pressure of anyone to be what he literally became. Minimal drama outside of the game for both and I think both are great guys and did it the right way. Lebron in his prime was definitely better than Steph as a player overall, but as they have gotten a little older this lebron I’m seeing in the playoffs doesn’t have that dog in him anymore in a sense. Sure he will turn it up time to time but he would rather pass to Luka or kick it out and let hachimura or reaves shoot it. I don’t get it. He is still that guy and shooting at a high percentage. Steph on the other hand is still doing the damn thing and we haven’t ever seen a shooter like this. Warriors with him have been and will be a problem just because of him. So I’m curious if right now you could have one to take with say 3 more years of each who are you taking? I think I’m team curry now, we all saw those Olympics right 😏

Yeah, Lebron is just so old, he's moving around a 260 lb body, and he's guarding 7-footers a lot of nights. He needed to take a back seat on O and now they have the 2nd or 3rd best offensive player in the league, so of course he's taking a back seat.

Steph is still easily a top 10 player and Lebron is probably 10-15 range...but any night Lebron has a full tank of gas, he's playing like a top 5 player still.

I agree and he can guard any position still and do it well. It just kinda seems like he turns it on when it’s too late and they are like facing elimination and we see that old dog in him come out. He is shooting great this year and I just don’t know why he doesn’t more. Yes Luka is gonna get his and nothing wrong with that but I agree maybe it’s just the younger me that misses the old lebron and can’t come to facts with him getting old :(

Yeah, but it's because he doesn't have the energy of a 30 year old. He has to pick his moments or he'll gas out. What he's doing is completely unprecedented. He's better at 40 than anybody's ever been at 36 until Steph now at age 37....but Steph is nowhere near the mileage Lebron has, nor is the mileage as hard because he's not 260 lbs.

Steph hasnt ever had the defensive responsibilities that LeBron has had over the years as well.....

Lebron's defensive contribution is 100x more impactful than Steph's, but Steph does actually work his ass off on D and it's something I've always respected about him. He's added about 15 lbs of muscle over the years so he could hold up more. It was pretty bad when he had a 16 year old's body, but even then, the thing that he did is he never half-assed it. They created a triple-switching scheme so that it was harder to attack him. It meant he had to bust his ass to cover more ground on D, but it allowed him to avoid bad matchups....Harden's not doing that. He'll just let the bad matchup score and try to get his points back on the other end. Russ is not doing that. Iverson is not doing that. Dame is not doing that. I've never really seen this kind of effort from a superstar guard who wasn't great at D....
