Right! We finally, it appears, have a competent coach that has this team playing hard at greatly reduced scholarship numbers vs our peers (and competing hard no less) …and somebody legitimately thinks Tennessee leaving the SEC is even remotely on the table or worth considering? Sure! Give up millions and millions in revenue right when we’re showing some promise. Omg, where’s my whiskey???

We should have stopped Ole Miss's QB on third and whatever at least a third of the time. We do that... we won easily last night.

What does Ole Miss have to do with Alabama? The sport is rigged for Alabama to just slap around everyone in the SEC. If not Alabama, it will be another darling like Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma, or Clemson.

Things are just going to get worse once media darlings Oklahoma and Texas make the jump to the SEC.

So you must think the administration cares more about winning games than money. If the last 15 years hasn't answered that by now then I don't know what to tell you..

Conference is rigged to put as many teams as possible into slots where they can make more money for the conference, at the revenue sharing time, conference gets two shares, not one like each school, earned on the backs of kids without meaningful compensation for their efforts, not sure why the conference should get twice as much as any school, but maybe Blonde Donde can take a shot at that one

The only thing that makes sense about OU and Texas joining the conference is money. Geographically it makes no sense. It's not the SEC anymore with 4 teams from the Midwest in the mix now. Just call it the money hungry grubber league and be done with it..

After the debacle that we witnessed last night and the absolute screw job the refs put on us and taking a win from us would you be opposed to packing our bags and leaving the SEC? Let me add too that this has been going on for a long time with us getting shafted by the SEC and by these crooked inept officials.

Yep let's go to the ACC where you'll probably get mad and want to leave in a few years too.

To be fair, 2 of Texas' biggest rivals are already in the SEC (Arkansas and Texas A&M) and they are bringing their third one with them (Oklahoma). So it did make sense from Texas for that aspect.

Not sure about Oklahoma though. They are leaving one of their biggest rivals behind (Oklahoma State).

Money is it. Otherwise you ask teams like Clemson or FSU possibly. They wanted those blue blood programs for the money..

what's the benefit of remaining in a conference that is actively rooting for the team to fail and keep us in remaining in the basement? The real reason they are angry at the fans, is because we are start to see this garbage for what it really is. Last night was a home cook SEC screw job against the Vols.
Actively rooting for us to fail? Wow

Clemson and FSU will eventually be in the SEC too IMO. It is only a matter of time. The ACC Contract ends in 2031, I believe. The B1G and SEC are going to step in and pick those teams.

They don't want us anymore pal. In their tainted eyes, we are yesterday's garbage.
Explain the reasoning behind that. Why would they not? We make money. Period. When we are good we make more than most. Please tell us why you believe they don’t want us rather than just playing the role of a dramatic teenage girl and spewing nonsense because we lost a game.

Perhaps. And that is partially why I don't watch the 'national championship' stuff. I haven't seen the rankings yet, but I guarantee you that Iowa will fall farther relatively than Alabubba did with their first loss. It is exactly what you said. Bama will be ensured to be in the tournament if UGA beats them in the SECCG as "number 4". So yeah it is rigged. And our new mega conference sucks. It is about money and not the fans. That makes me sad.

That being said, Bama ARE a damned good football team as much as I hate to admit that. But Florida is done, so I 'm pretty happy today all in all. I probably won't watch either of the next 2 games... too painful. (I'll DVR them just in case the unimaginable happens though) Love ya Big Orange!

. Even Bama won’t be let in with two SEC losses.

Could probably compete in the ACC and make the playoffs every 4 or 5 years

I am not sure we could make the playoff in the ACC but I guarantee you we wouldn't be having 11-12 game losing streaks to the same annual opponents every year. In the scheme of things, that is what is making being a Vols fan brutal.

We beat Florida one-time in 17 years. That just isn't fun or entertaining for a fan.

We don't even compete with Alabama and make it a game.
