Okay guys I just wanna apologize for the way I originally posted this thread. I did not want to offend anyone, and I know that pretty much all of what I said was pretty offensive so..... I just want to see if anyone is interested in learning X and O's so you can better understand what is going on during a game. My personal belief is it will make watch games a lot more entertaining and will also give people grounds when people make claims of "you should fire this coach or that coach" and I would personally love to teach and definently learn some more X and O's. I would want people that do know about the game to hop in and contribute however you can. Thanks. Sorry about the grammar issues in advance.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Most successful college coaches frequent VN to pick up new ideas and insights into game planning, strategy, and cutting edge concepts.

I have heard a lot of craziness on here and I have said multiple times that if you just learn a little philosophy and actual coaching and stop just watching the football your points would actually be valid. Furthermore, is there anyone on here that would like some people to break down recruiting tape to see what makes them good or great? Would you guys want to know what to look for in a game or why a play worked or why it didn't? I have always wondered if you guys actually just wanna complain or if you actually wanna know what you are talking about? I am really not trying to be a jerk... it is a sincere question? Sorry about the grammar issues in advance.

I suppose you are volunteering to teach all us morons?

Oh boy, another keyboard coach.

Is this D4H? Do you really watch a lot of football?

Occasionally there are links on this site to a blog run by an ex UT assistant coach going into the x's and o's of a game. I remember a few of these about what Debord was doing on offense. A few years ago there was also some blog entries on this site by a poster named Ohiovol (I think that was his name) going position by position explaining things. Lots of x's and o's stuff in that. So it is out there if anybody wants to seek it out.

Are you kidding me? They are divisional winners on their season of Madden on Xbox, how dare you question them!

Reasonable answers/responses. You didn't answer the big one though, are you volunteering?

I wouldn't even know where to start with some people on here... My plan was that there are some (few) guys on here that know football so we could team up and hash some stuff out for the average fan.... Or in some cases below average...

There are several folks who post here who do in depth breakdowns, charts, diagrams, etc. with explanations and those threads are always well received and responded to.

I would love a detailed analysis of the defense, specifically diagnosing alignment and LB play.

Ok. I'll bite.
Tell me what you like and don't like about our 3 RB recruits this year. What do you see as a positive and what do you think they will need to work on most?
