Take with a boulder of salt. However it's an interesting read regardless...

Hmmm....I don' think it's real but at the same time the line ups sound possible.

I don't buy a Symphony of the Night 2 on the 3DS though.

A new god of war? Yes please. Those games looked and played amazing on ps3. Can't wait to see what they can do with the PS4

That WiiU is going to cripple them as a company.

They should stick with hand helds IMO. In fact, if Nintendo could find a way to create a system that worked both as a hand held and as a home console I think it would be a huge hit. Create something similar to the 3DS and include an HDMI connected docking station and a regular controller. That way we could play all the games on the go and if you want to play the games at home on the big screen, just plug the device into the docking station, pick up the controller, and start playing on your TV. Hell I'd buy that in a heart beat. Especially if it was Gamecube/Wii/Wii U backwards compatible.

They should definitely do domething like that. Make the docking station connectable to the internet with a hard drive that allows you to download all previous system's titles for a subscription fee of $9.00 a month or something.

Good idea, though I would design it where the internet connectivity and storage was done through the device itself. That way you'd have WiFi capability/access to the store anywhere you go to download games digitally. Plus Nintendo could include something like internal 500gb solid state storage instead of a hard drive.

The Wii U is a bomb but it's nowhere close to crippling the company.

Exactly. Nintendo is sitting on a multi billion dollar war chest of cash. 1 unsuccessful console is not going to break them. I'm way more concerned about Sony's future than I am Nintendo's.

Will be hard to cripple Nintendo. They will always have a hardcore fan base that buys everything they put out, myself being one of them. Will always buy Nintendo just for Zelda, Mario Bros, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. If the virtual boy didn't cripple them nothing will.

Well I will say this, the Wii was pretty much an exception, one that hardly anyone saw coming. Nintendo's consoles have been on a slide ever since the Nintendo 64 got destroyed by the PlayStation. The GameCube that followed did even worse. Then the Wii comes along and is a major hit.

Now I argue the Wii was a gigantic fad moreso that sold pretty based on Wii Sports only, but regardless, it sold. The Wii U to me is simply getting back to business as usual for Nintendo consoles. It's actually selling worse than the GameCube did at the same point in its life cycle. Personally I think Nintendo thought they could trot out a slight upgrade to the Wii and fans would eat it up, but obviously they couldn't strike gold twice.

I've long thought Nintendo has rested on their reputation too much. I don't mind that their games are more "family friendly" but I do mind that in many ways they're no better than those that claim EA and others just trot out updates to Madden, Halo, Call of Duty, etc. each year. It seems like Nintendo only puts out Mario and Zelda games each year and they haven't put out a real original title that's been a big hit in a long time. Their last Metroid game was bad, and one of my favorite Nintendo series, Star Fox, they haven't put out anything new that's been good in a long time.

Im not saying N is folding next year but they aren't what they were. They are also becoming less and less relevant in gaming as the mistakes and lack of interest from the public continue. My opinion is they need to quit making hardware. And they need to ramp up their software development. Being king of handhelds wont continue as cellphones and tablets will take that position away and shrink that business.

Here's a little about how its doing currently....

------------
With its latest fiscal report, Nintendo is posting its third consecutive yearly loss, unheard of in its history as a game maker. What's more, the $456 million operating loss is arriving instead of the estimated $1 billion yearly operating profit that had been promised by President Iwata. The company revealed a net loss of $228 million. Cash and equivalent liquid assets dropped from $4.7 billion to $3.4 billion.

"Symphony of the Night 2" says that list is fake.

Pretty much, since they rebooted the Castlevania storyline with Lords of Shadow. The old storyline is dead, so if they are either going to continue with the Lords of Shadow storyline or reboot again.

Which I've played the 3 games in the LOS storyline and supposedly LOS 2 wraps it up.

Yep. They most likely will need to have a successful system sales wise next time around, or they will be done. Nintendo most likely will go the way of Sega and only produce games for other companies.

Nintendo should just strictly focus on their handheld systems. The 3DS is great. The game catalog is huge and the games are pretty good all around. Release a new 3DS with a mini HDMI port on it and allow for people to connect it to a tv and play through that.
