Leach beat

Washington State was like 9 and 40 for the 4 years prior to Leach taking over. Remarkable what he has done a just a few years.

He should have been our #2 or #3 pick from the beginning. You can't explain how we could finally get to him after all the goofy offers we have made, but maybe it was just luck but thank god.

We will score big very, very quickly and you will never ever see Tennessee go scoreless for even one quarter, this guy puts points on the board.

SEC teams will take us seriously again with this hire.

He’s never won any kinda championship & he’s only had 1 double digit winning season. No running game & no defense. Recruiting sucks as well.

I would take him, as he is much better than the NC State coach would have been.

But the way this is going we will see if Currie/Davenport mess it up or he uses it for a raise at WA State.

Mike Leach is a great coach. He has won everywhere he has been. I wanted him after Fulmer was let go. It would be a home run if we could land him in Knoxville.

Once upon a time he beat Saban. I’m indifferent personally on him. We could do worse and he will make it interesting but I’m not sure how he will be in SEC or how he will be with the players. From a recruiting standpoint Les Miles would probably be better.

But he's only one game over .500. No more context is needed. Might as well be only one game over .500 at USC. Either way he sucks. *dumb person logic*

I like Leach, but he is 1-5 against in state rival Washington with the last 5 not being close.

Damn, I didn't realize Leach had been at Washington St this long. Feels like it's only been 2 years since he left Tech

Petersen likes to rush 3, drop 8 and watch Leach refuse to run the ball while his QB throws picks and gets sacked repeatedly.

I'm more than good with Leach. He has the reputation as a bit of a screwball, but so what? That seems to fit the stereotype for most coaches these days. Unlike Schiano, he's a proven winning coach at the big boy level. Bring him on. I like Mike! :)

And lost 37-3 to the 5-7 Cal Bears

I watched that game. It was during the wildfires. So crazy. smoke was so thick during that game. There was like 200 ppl in the stadium. Weird game situation. They were even sure that the game was going to be played until like an hour before kick off.
