After mulling it over, I realize that we've (many of us) have voiced our anger, and yet Dooley will get his chance for the next year or so. I'm sure the AD knows all about it. No fanbase likes going in reverse.
We've said our piece, so I invite those of you who are just as mad as I was/am, to let it go now. It's not going to help our recruiting efforts or assistant coaching searches if we prolong this any further.

I believe a coaching change is probably the best course of action, but it ain't going to happen. So, let's move on and hope Dooley can hire some good assistants where change is needed.
Larry Porter is a freakin GOLD MINE of an assistant coach, and if we want our fortunes to change in recruiting and in the run game, we need to zip it right now, so we have a chance to land the guy.

We are also in on some BIG time recruits, especially on the D-Line. The cavalry is coming, if we will just put the pitchforks down and let the staff do their thing.

With good coaches around him, I think it may be hard for Dooley to screw things up next year. We will have some more weapons at WR and a 4* QB (Nathan Peterman). We also just landed what I think is a Chris Johnson clone at RB. So, let's not screw this up. Things will likely get much better next fall.

:peace:I understand your frustration as well as all of us who have to listen to garbage talk from work, family and even at church.

I was steaming during the KY game and thought somebody has to pay for this debacle. There was Dooley on the sidelines in his orange pants and my first reaction was fire the whole bunch. But, I realized this is not entirely of his making. This is about coach turnover and attrition and the guy in the orange pants took this disaster head on and has his plan to bring the program back.

Is he the right guy? I don't know. Is he making all the right calls? No, but who does? Is he getting some better players in? Yes. Can he bring in enough good players in 2 or 3 years given the 25 limit, the losing record, the NCAA distractions and all the discontent? I don't know.

The last thing we need now is another coaching change. Who knows if a replacement would do any better or could even be worse. We need to let Dooley work his plan and with the players coming in this year and next, UT will be a better team. One thing is almost sure. When Dooley leaves, the program will be in better shape than when he got here because the talent and depth will be improved.

I'm letting it go. Want to be a good fan and not appear like a psychotic fan base to outsiders (recruits).

I'm still hanging on to the Dooley waggon...albeit by the tailgate.

But our future recruits and coaches have to know that last year was uneceptable.

I think plenty of mistakes have been made by this coaching staff, but I also don't think anyone in the country could have gotten more than 7 wins out of this team this year. I do think 7 wins by a great coaching was possible. Kentucky and Georgia. Dooley needs to do a little less bashing, and a lot more coaching. This team was mentally beat down by the end of the year after a continuous barrage of negativity.
