Lawrence Frank - Boston Celtics Assistant

Eh Grant is a decent coach but nothing more. Using the "VCU is doing it with Grants players" makes no sense at all. Pastner had a better class than Grant could dream of at VCU and that worked out pretty well don't you think? Bama should of been in the tournament if they had beaten the teams scheduled. Even with a weak OOC schedule and a down SEC, if they had beaten the teams they should have, they would of been in the tournament. I like their defense but that's it.

If Frank was hired, does he stay on with Boston through the playoffs, leave for Knoxville immediately, or UT by day Celtics by night?

Frank's ambitions may lead him back to the NBA at some point, however, UT would be the beneficiary of having a kick-a** head coach that knows all aspects of the game, players, recruits, etc. for a long enough period to be firmly entrenched as a top tier program. The cupboard would not be left bare as it is now. Hopefully he would feel comfortable with everything here for a long stay that lead to some titles. He can get us there if he wants to do it.

Scheduled differently? Maybe they should have simply not lost to Iowa, St. Peter's, Seton Hall, and Providence. They had no business in the NCAA Tournament. They are right where they should be.

This is good :3083yourock:

Neither did we honestly. Our "quality wins" that got us in the tournament: Villanova lost to George Mason in the first round, Pittsburgh lost to Butler in the second and Vanderbilt lost to Richmond in the first. Also Memphis had a first round exit.

Real analyst didnt really use the Memphis win as a quality win....so let's leave that one off....When you have a team by the throat for a 36 point lead how can you call that a "quality win"?
