Lawless not on campus, future uncertain

"I'm not really sure what is going on," Lawless said. "It's frustrating."

When asked if the hold up was grades, himself, or Tennessee, he sounded unsure of what the hold up currently is.

"I honestly could not tell you," Lawless said. "I have no idea. I just don't know."

Doesn't sound right. Someone knows and he should probably make the effort to find out

Well! If he can’t go, then I don’t know. I say it opens up another transfer, or another spot in the 19 class. I hope he can go.

Strange answer from Lawless, but I'm not surprised. We are Tennessee, we can't have nice things.

There's no way in the world that he doesn't know what's going on.

He just doesn't want to talk about it because the truth could impact getting other good offers.

That's my guess.

VFL...GBO!!!

It could be used on a Transfer, but not in the '19 class. I think maybe take a blue shirt off and use it in the '18, but not positive on that. But if Kennedy transferred here, it could be used on him. Hopefully he still makes it though.

Oh, he knows, just not willing to say.

Really how could he not know?

Agreed. Something he doesn't want public until he can atleast get on a campus somewhere. Guess the JUCO route for a yr would be possible too. Will be curious to see if it's grades or something else off the field.Although if it was grades that would have probably come out before now.

He signed. He counts whether he makes it in or not. This would only help with the 85 total scholarship number.

It sounds very odd. This could be grades or something he's hiding or it may just be miscommunication on someone's part and he might just be unsure of what needs to be done or missed a deadline or something. Sounds odd, but if he doesn't know what the issue is I would hope someone would contact him and tell him after this article..

does not sound like a guy who wants to be somewhere else.

seems to me he's a little embarrassed because there is an issue with his transcript.

remember, there are some privacy issues here

he wants it to work out--but if it does not then its JC

give him some room. . . he wants to be here!

I forgot they recently changed that rule about still counting if a guy doesn't qualify. What if it's something not related to academics or injuries say something more ethics involved? Or does it matter? I can't keep up with all these new rules.

If the NCAA is investigating his grades or HS, he very well might not know anything.

And if the NCAA is involved, I'm sure everyone who cares about him and is knowledgeable has strongly informed him to "Know nothing!"

It doesn't matter if he knows or doesn't know. This will work itself out one way or the other but we shouldn't speculate on what we don't know. Coach Pruitt has got this.
