LawGator: Nobody cares outside of Tennessee?

Most media I have heard at worst give Tennessee a fighting chance, and at least 25 % pick the vols to steal the win and fed ex it home.

I don't think it is realistic to expect the majority of the media to pick against the undefeated number one team in the country at home, when they are playing a team that lost by twenty in one game, and lost to a very mediocre Kentucky team.

I can't complain about the attention Tennessee is receiving or the credit we are being given. I would not have thought this possible after the Kentucky loss. And I'll take it and run with it for the next twenty four hours!

This game is #1 vs #2 on ESPN primetime, 8:00 Central (best time for everybody in the country to see this game).. Now why in the hell would ESPN go to those efforts if there was no national interest?

I agree with you Imus 100%. I don't care if the Vols had only won 10 games I don't want to hear crap about them, and I would still give them the media the middle finger.

I can tell you that in North Carolina it's getting a lot of attention. First time I ever heard of UNC and Dook fans agreeing on anything. I guess you know who they're all rooting for.

On the road.

Ì wonder if we can get a rating on that game, compare it to some other big game in the same slot, see who is right about this.

At any rate, good lucck tomorrow and enjoy the game and your success.

They've been talking about it in northern CA all week, and this isn't even basketball country. It's sparked a lot of interest in our media, and typically, they couldn't care less about college basketball in northern CA.

As an SEC fan, I can't wait.

My non-Vol friends in NYC are talking about the game. I think people around the country are interested. Not as excited as we are, obviously, but they're interested.

Trust me....they're making it thier business to make sure there is national interest.

It's a great time to be a basket VOL!

I wonder how far in advance ESPN had advertising locked up for this game. If it was early, someone's getting a hell of a deal.

I go to IU and admist all the chaos (so long Kelvin Sampson :good!:) I still get people asking me about the game and who's going to win.

No. But I honestly don't think I am. Down here, NO one has even mentioned it. Not a peep.

Scratch that. A buddy just mentioned the game, asking an attractive young lady if she was going to watch.

Ironically, she asked why Tennessee was playing a pro team.

My buddy says ''good old rocky top,'' whatver that means.

Nobody's mentioned it down there. Huh doesn't surprise me. Most of those people don't have running water much less working tv sets.

There's a great indicator of NATIONAL interest in this game . . . by how many around you in Gator Country are discussing it.

By "down here" do you mean Hell?
We all know you are just jealous but get real, it's #1 vs #2 in the same state. It has only happened 5 times in the history of college basketball and none include the state of Florida. Turn on ESPN and you will see the hype all day long. Enjoy the NIT.:neener2:
