Lattimore's leg injury (merged)

Spurrier said it isn't. The final diagnosis isn't in yet, but as of right now, it seems as though he'll be alright. All they know is it's dislocated and doesn't look to be any major breaks. Main concern now is how bad the tearing is.

Did u see his leg flopping around? How can there not be any major breaks?

No fractures/additional injuries says team physician Dr. Guy. Marcus Lattimore's surgically repaired left knee also uninjured during the play.

I believe that it was a USCe beat-writer who circulated that, and that was where I had heard it.

I'll be more than happy to hear that what I have posted was wrong.

As I think all of us would. I was just wondering where you had heard that. The ESPN report today was the first diagnosis I had read or heard about outside of this thread.

Listening to the titans game and heard spurrier stated ML could redshirt next year and get a 5th yr /or enter the draft, this was stated by an announcer , haven't read seen or heard that again
Can anyone verify??

Sounds like the best possible scenario in a heartbreaking situation.

He never redshirted, so yes he could come back for the 2014 season, if he wanted to.

thats awesome news that he can play again. mine looked the same and i still have trouble getting around but to see me walk you wouldnt know it. I lost three ligaments and i would be willing to bet he lost all four. just glad he will be able to play again. so talented

Watching McGahee have a great game tonight with the Broncos gives me hope that Lattimore could still have success on the field

If he makes a full recovery (and I pray that he does), I imagine he'll enter the NFL and not risk anything else in college.

Thought about that myself. Bet he's watching the game & thinking same thing. I hope so & hope he makes a great recovery.

I hope he makes a full recovery so he can have a prosporous and fulfilling pro career. Can you imagine the psychological hurdle of suffering that huge injury, rehabilitating it for a year and a half, and then suiting up against the biggest meanest players in the world? I imagine it would be almost impossible to fully shake the feeling that every time you got the ball, your knee could suffer the same fate as last saturday.

I would actually think broken bones would be preferable to ligament damage.

I'd think the same thing. Bones heal solid typically, ligament repairs can be tricky.

The article states that he suffered multiple ligament injury, this doesn't clarify if they were torn. Just tearing an ACL can take close to a year to fully recover, not counting psychological damage. Look at Hunter, we're more than half way through the season and he's just now starting to catch the ball again.

I wish the best for Lattimore and hope he is able to recover and return with no trouble!
