Lattimore's leg injury (merged)

Anybody watch "the best that never was" espn 30 for 30?? Marcus Dupree came back a similar injury, now that our orthopedic surgeon have made amazing breakthroughs Lattimore can hopefully comeback.

Tell me that wasn't a slight chuckle out of the announcer when he stated the obvious "it looked serious". It happened when SC was at the 1 trying to punch it in. I rewound the dvr and I swear thats what it sounds like from him. Major douche if so and should be fired right away.

Maybe he choked up unexpectedly and did one of those weird sounds that we all make when we try to recover and keep speaking.

People are awfully damn quick to read malice into freak events. JMO

prayers go out to Marcus and his family, I hope he makes a full recovery from unfortunate event.

I was absolutely horrified by the Lattimore injury and hate that for the guy. Such a humble and strong person.

That being said, he did appear to fumble and it looks like it would've been six for us on D...

Such a trajic injury, my prayers go out to him and his family. Lattimore's one of the most gifted athletes in the country....this indeed makes me sad...very very sad

Marcus Lattimore was a great player - a shame that his year had to end this way. I don't recall ever seeing players from the opposing team go out en masse to an injured player like UT did, but it was, as others have said, a classy thing. They were paying tribute to a fallen warrior.

I'm very happy to see that Jackson_Harris is not on this board now. I pray for a speedy recovery for Lattimore! The Vols showed true class by coming out on the field after the injury! That makes me proud to be a TN Vol!

That was about as gruesome as it gets. I'm guessing tib/fib fracture and numerous ligaments and tendons damaged. Hopefully no nerve or vascular damage. I was surprised to not see bone protruding from the skin.

Marcus Lattimore has a broken femur and 4 torn ligaments I feel for him so much seeing him go off the field in tears nearly had me in tears he worked so hard and this happens. If anyone can come back it is him prayers for Lattimore#21

Seemed to really impact the femur and probably hurt the ACL or PCL. No way he ever plays in college and possibly NFL.

Prayers for him and the family.

That was a very classy move by UT going out on the field like that. I've never seen that happen. Unbelievable sportsmanship. Hats off to the Vols. You've earned a lot of respect from everyone for that.

What did he say?

Basically said that he was happy that ML got hurt. Also said that he wished more of their players would get hurt and that ML would still have a future pumping gas in SC. Then he went on to defend his thoughts. Completely unacceptable!!

I wish I could say that I'm surprised Jackson Harris would make an ignorant statement like that, but O can't. Dude is a mouth breather.

Marcus Lattimore broke his femur, on top of a torn ACL/MCL/LCL/PCL and chipped his patella, and sartorius tendon rupture along with pes anserinus tears. Hooooly ****.

basically the only thing holding his leg together was skin, just sickening..........
