Herman is not a very good pass covering lb period. he costs us alot in passing plays. he is only good for rushing the qb and run support. never looks for the ball out of position and is slow.

don't get me wrong i like the guy and appreciate him being a vol but he needs to work on covering wr's and te's with his eyes facing the qb the whole time.

I refuse to talk bad about Lathers, one of the toughest guys to play for UT. The definition of a VFL.

Been waiting on this thread for awhile. No one wants to talk negatively about Herman because he is the definition of a VFL, but truth is he is a very average SEC linebacker.

I'm so tired, really tired of seeing him trailing a receiver after a catch.

Honestly can't disagree with any of you. Hate he has went through all the setbacks. But pass coverage has been poor by all the LBs (A J included). They can tackle well but if they are not rushing the passer they have become liabilities on pass plays.

Time to accept reality... Lathers probably couldn't start for 12 of the 14 SEC schools.

But like each of you, I love Lathers' story and the respect he brings to the University.

Why would'nt Sal use the LB's to put pressure on the QB. There QB had all night to pick us apart while on most passing plays our LB's werent even in the play.
