The News
LeBron James was spotted house searching in Highland Park, Ill., on Monday, according to WGN's Justin Weiner.
Our View
Highland Park is a suburb of Chicago and James was apparently spotted checking out a for-sale mansion on Sheridan Rd., which is about five or 10 minutes away from the Bulls' practice facility. There has been a lot of talk that LeBron could be leaning toward signing with the Bulls, and this report will certainly provide fuel to those rumors.
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was spotted house searching in a nearby Chicago suburb, according to a report Tuesday by WGN.
The free agent was reportedly observed checking out a for-sale mansion in Highland Park, who is a short drive from the Chicago Bulls' practice facility, according to the report.
The report comes one day after the Chicago Tribune detailed that NBA teams interested in James may also have to take on Kentucky's John Calipari as his coach.
According to this report, NBA power broker William Wesley is close to obtaining certification as an agent for coaches and is using his broad base of contacts to package James and Calipari to teams with salary cap room and coaching vacancies. Those teams include the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Clippers.
I know the whole NBA free agent destination talk is all rumors and speculation at this point, but here's an interesting bit of information that I heard from a few people: LeBron James was spotted getting out of a black Range Rover outside a big for-sale mansion off of Sheridan Rd in Highland Park, IL (a north suburb of Chicago.) Stay tuned.
Coincidentally, Michael Jordan's house is also in Highland Park..
From the Knicks camp (aka several blogs and message boards tifwiw):
Doc Rivers to Chicago with Lebron a done deal. Only deal not done is a sign and trade to get Bosh.
Knicks will still make a run but looks like will sign Amare and try to sway D Wade.
