Latest look at roster

Holy Sh*t Batman - Could ANYONE have predicted years ago that we would live in a world where we have 24 TRANSFERS on our roster?? Seriously, are we living in a BIZZARO WORLD or what??

Pretty much everyone who intently followed college football saw this materializing. I'm surprised anyone is even pretending to be surprised.

Yes, however, for those of us who have been following college football for 60 yrs, this is a really new and different phenomenon. I think that's Volador's point, it's WAY different from the college football we grew up with. 🤔🤷

Well dang, since you knew about this 15 or so years ago, did you bring it to the attention of Vol Nation then? Sorry, but if you did, I missed your threads.

My sincerest apologies. I thought Saban, and dozens of coaches, vocalizing this was sufficient. In the future I will be sure to dumb down and CC you on any, and all, common sense takes.

just wasn't as publicized years ago...

Tennessee's 2007 signing class, 32 players, had 19 of them leave.

2009 class signed 24 and 19 left.

turnover has actually always been in the 40% range of most programs. Some more and some less on average.

Ha, no need to dumb it down any further!! And still shocked though that you and coach Saban were on top of the future of NIL in 2011. Very impressive. Really.....

There are plenty of articles from the past decade where dozens and dozens of others share the same opinion. Even Vitello had to address this at the CWS a couple years back. Hundreds of articles on social media sites where the majority all realize it's all downhill once NIL begins. Hardly impressive to anyone with a full set of chromosomes, but thanks for the kind words regarding my foresight. Always happy to assist.

None of it makes any sense the way that it is going. Why the increase from 85 to 120 something? This allows big $$$ schools to buy up all the decent players. They put the limits in place to keep teams like Alabama from signing 130 players (most just to keep other teams from getting them).
