Latest from WVU

First, stop trolling the UT fan base. It is actually a violation of the terms of this forum. You can read them if you’d like, they are at the top of the forum page.

Next, get your facts straight. According to The Morgantown News at wvnews.com, “WVU officials report that they’ve sold slightly more than 15,000 tickets for the neutral site game against the Vols on Sept. 1 at Bank of America Stadium. Meanwhile Tennessee has reportedly sold just over 16,000 tickets through the UT website.
The secondary ticket market is still very active for this contest, which will be the first-ever meeting on the football field between West Virginia and Tennessee. Secondary sites like Stubhub and Ticketmaster have seats available with the starting price of $79 in the upper level going to $200 for the lower level.” That is your own news outlet contradicting your BS. Again, stop coming to our forum and trolling Tennessee fans.

Finally, just because I feel like pointing it out, your season ticket sales suck. Per the aforementioned news article, “As of last week, the Mountaineers had sold 25,000 season tickets for the coming football campaign.” Only 25,000 season tickets is cute. Just thought I’d point that out. Last year Tennessee sold over 69,000 season tickets, but I am sure your fans will outnumber us on Saturday. Now how about you be a good boy and head back over to the WV forums. I hear they like you there.

The news article from Morgantown can be found here.

It has nothing to do with who's stadium is bigger. It's about fan excitement. Our fans are very excited about what our season may hold. Many UT fans I've talked to in person are in a wait-and-see mode (contrary to the majority on this board). Additionally, with such a huge alumni base in Charlotte, it's extremely easy for them to get to see their home team without having to dish out money for a hotel, so a large majority of them are attending. Our AD is a no-nonsense type of guy...he's not gonna spread false information.

It’s not about having a bigger stadium it’s about fan base and how we travel , I’m guessing your AD prob knows this and is trying to get everybody to the game so it’s not all orange and white . Like I posted earlier we’ve averaged over 69k to every home game since 1946 .

That he expects WVU fans to outnumber Vols fans 60-40 on Saturday. Charlotte is home to over 300,000 WVU alums and ticket sells have been exceptional.

They expect over 68,000 and if its not a sell out its not going to be WVU's fault.
Lol...if there were 300,000 little Virginia fans in Charlotte alone, I dare say your stadium would be larger than 60,000.

You'll be lucky if 33% of the ticket sales are to WV fans.

And on a side note: You're implying that metro Charlotte with a population of 2,474,314 (2018) has 300,000 WV alums? 27.2% of Americans have a Bachelor's Degree or higher. So out of about 673,013 Metro Charlotte residents with a college degree, an astounding 44.58% are WV Alums?

The only thing less believable is your scouting reports on WV.

Get real PinocchioMule!

Good post! I think it is apparent that WVMULE frequently engages in the following activity...

I had just looked that up myself. LOL.

He's claiming that one out of every 8... men, women, children... in Charlotte metro went to WVU. He seriously needs some help....

I lived in Morganhole and generally like WVU, but the more this guy posts the bigger blowout I want to see on Saturday. At least you won't have to back pedal on this when you see the stadium is 3/4 orange because we all know you won't be coming back when WVU loses Saturday.

Kindly Shut the **** up

Some notes: Dana says WVU used "or" on the depth chart just because Tennessee did. He says it doesn't really matter. McKoy will get the start for WVU at RB but true frosh Leddie Brown has been the most impressive RB in fall camp.
LOL... your coach is that petty? For your sake, you better hope the Fr is better than McKoy was last year. You had one legit RB last year... and he's gone.

Dana doesn't think Pruitt will use two QBs that extensively because their styles are so different. He thinks Pruitt is astute enough to recognize WVU's weakness last year was on DL and he expects the Vols to make WVU prove they can stop the run.
Your D stank last year... and not just the DL. There were 2 or 3 guys on that D worth talking about. Long is a good player but not big or particularly athletic. Very smart. Very instinctive. Good tackler. White and Benton are no longer on your roster.

Watched the KSU game. Very interesting what their lightly talented D was able to do vs your supposed unstoppable O. Especially in the 2nd half. The main reason WVU won that game is KSU's 1st time starter at QB didn't play well.

Both USC transfer Kenny Bigelow and Clemson transfer Jabril Robinson have won starting jobs on the DL.
I know you think that's good. But when the best players you have on the DL are guys who were buried on depth charts elsewhere their whole career... that's not a good sign. USC hasn't even been particularly great lately. They were 68th in scoring D last year and 60th in total D, Maybe even worse... they were 50th in rushing D... and Bigelow couldn't find the field. Yeah... I know he was hurt, right? So you are pinning your hopes on a guy who either wasn't good enough or couldn't stay healthy enough to play?

Bigelow started out healthy last year. He played in 6 games and record ONE tackle. He's going to save your DL? He's starting over the guys you have returning who have been in the program?

Hey man can you just stop. You’re making all of us WVU fans look like arrogant tools. Even if that quote was right, which is impossible to know due to secondary ticket sales, what did you expect to accomplish by posting that? That is something you post on the WVU board. You can’t come to an opposing teams board and create thread after thread talking ****. It’s annoying, unnecessary, and disrespectful. Sorry Vol Fans, this guy represents the vocal minority of WVU fans.

Don’t worry, we have bouncers for that.

Dude, really. I know you are a homer, but look at the size of Vol Nation compared to that of the wvu. It is not even in the same ball park. UT had to request additional tickets for sale. How about wvu? Didn't think so. Your middle name must be stick, because you sure like jumping in a pot and stirring. Just keep poking the hornets nest.

How do we know it's not just you who's the outlier here 😉?

The fact that a transfer with 11 career tackles in 4 years with a history of knee injuries is going to be your savior on defense tells me all I need to know about WVU’s defensive prowess
