He has some bad info. WVU did request more after the 12,000 and sold just over 15,000. Our AD did say that he expects WVU to outnumber UT 60/40. Mule must have made a typo...Lyons said there are over 30,000 alum in the Charlotte area, not 300,000. We'll all find out in just a few days!

Hey Mule. If this is true then the WVU AD needs to enroll in school and learn math. The population of Charlotte is approximately 850,000. Including children. There is no where close to 300,000 WVU alum there. That's silly absurd to assert. I doubt there are 300,000 WVU alums in all of the Carolinas.

People were saying the same thing about the Ga Tech game last year, which was in their backyard. I was sitting a few rows behind the UT bench and saw more orange than yellow on the other side of the arena. You're in for a disappointment if you even remotely believe your post.

You guys are 6hrs away UT is 4hrs. Plus UT has the bigger fanbase by far. Easy math here that UT will outnumber WVU in the stands.

Again WVUs stadium holds 60,000 , UTs stadium holds 102,455 and is almost always packed.

There is no way WVU outnumbers UT at this game.

It has nothing to do with who's stadium is bigger. It's about fan excitement. Our fans are very excited about what our season may hold. Many UT fans I've talked to in person are in a wait-and-see mode (contrary to the majority on this board). Additionally, with such a huge alumni base in Charlotte, it's extremely easy for them to get to see their home team without having to dish out money for a hotel, so a large majority of them are attending. Our AD is a no-nonsense type of guy...he's not gonna spread false information.

So not all of that 30,000 attends? You need to understand something about our fanbase, last season we were in a “done SEEN TOO MUCH mode” and there was an Empty Neyland movement that couldn’t keep 90,000 attendance from happening. Wear blue blockers...that level of orange is going to burn your eyes!

300,000 WVU alums in Charlotte??? That’s impossible. There’s not enough dentists within a hundred miles of downtown to take care of that many mountaineer folk.
