Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Damn, they're almost as in the dark about this as our President seems to be.

This is a BS article. I'm a retired submariner. They know exactly what's going on.

Well, at least the U.S. bubbleheads do. This goober interviewed a French Submarine officer. In that regard, I agree that they have no idea what's going on: both their subs and their skills stink.

That’s the lone bright spot... and it’s a sign that things suck.
IMO, oil is going to stay quite cheap even as the economy continues to recover. I would wager that oil would be only $5-10 higher if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic. There was way too much supply even before this happened, and the Russia/Saudi price war just exacerbates that.

Did the US Military just completely ignore this thing and proceed with business as usual with regards to training?
Well it took the Army 16 times to finally figure what they were going to do. The Army tired to let commanders decide the policy on social distancing. But the commanders were waiting for guidance from higher so it was the status que for weeks. The Marines went full Marine and now they have an out break at the training base in North Carolina. The Air Force was the only branch that did the right thing.

I wish I had the ability to hoard gasoline. I'd buy as much as possible.

I have a 300 gallon steel oil tank, which hasn't be used in years. If diesel or kero gets low enough, I'll take advantage... Don't think I'd put gas in there unless it hits like 50 cents.

Have you looked inside it ?

Yeah, Stew, be careful with that idea. If it wasn't built to hold gas, it won't have the ability to safely let expanding vapors vent due to pressure / temperature changes. No point in freaking your neighbors out with an unexpected mushroom cloud, right?
