It's two weeks til bowl games start. Websites need hits and radio and tv need ratings. The media clamps onto anything they can get to ride out the down time.

The crap didn't hit the fan til the season was over, but all this happened back in September. Why do you reckon that is?

Another issue to emerge from this story: The father of one of the prospects visited in South Carolina said that “he saw several young women at a Byrnes game in September,” according to The Greeneville News.

This is an incredibly vague statement. There were only several young women in the entire crowd of a football game? Or the father is so familar with all of the Orange Pride members he can pick them out of a crowd of several hundred?

Someone named Chip Brown (a blogger for orangebloods.com) spoke with Eric Berry at the College Football Awards last night. Thamel then copied over Brown’s tweets:“Just asked Eric Berry if he knew anything about hostesses traveling 200 miles to see recruits: “Is that a rule?” “Berry said re hostesses, “If it is a rule, I don’t know. I don’t think coach knows either… I’m on his side.”

Hersay from an unknown person via Twitter? Give me a break.

this MrSec guy is a joke. He wrote an article yesterday about how he is harder on Kiffin because Kiffin deserves it. he acknowledges that there is a double standard when it comes to covering UT and Kiffin and then justifies it by saying, essentially, that if Kiffin was nicer he wouldn't have to be harder on him. so, if Kiffin was a nice guy like Houston Nutt, MrSec would be more objective in its coverage. at the end of the article he compares Kiffin to Spurrier and even says :

------
"But Spurrier’s worst comments (back when he could still dominate teams) were jokes. They were needles.

“You can’t spell Citrus without U-T” is a far cry from Kiffin’s recent comments about the Gators: “Florida has the better players, Alabama has the better coaches.”

One’s a joke. One’s an insult."
-----

Bullsh*t. What Spurrier said was absolutely an insult. and it was intended as such. Spurrier was mocking UT's yearly fall to a runner-up bowl and if Kiffin said the same thing now he would be crucified and sanctioned for it.

But CHN doesnt sell, reporting CLK does. It amasing how different the quotes was from EB, since when does EB work with the Orange Pride. Just trying to re-start what CLK stop yesterday.

Media is just dying to get a story out first to bust us. There are so many conflicting reports, and the NCAA is the only org that knows anything. I still feel like the NCAA cannot prove that it was an assigned trip.

Mr. SEC is that quack John Pennington. You know, the chubby, gray haired guy that hangs out with Hyams et al on Sunday mornings? I think it's called the Sports Source or something like that. If you've ever seen it you'd be convinced it belongs on public access before an infomercial and after Smoky Mountain Wrastlin'.
