Back in my college days ('77-'81) we would go to the Deli down in the bowels of the Shelborne Towers building. There you could buy a Deli sandwich with meat and cheese, and get it steamed til it was hot and the cheese melted.

Man those were good. Anybody know where they still make them that way?

Back in the day, this was my usual late night snack after a night of boozing.

When I am on the way home after a gig I like to stop at Taco Bell and take home Nachos Bell Grande and/or a Burrito Supreme. If it's after they close, I like whatever ice cream we have and a banana with pb - CRUNCHY! Or cold left over fried chicken.

Nachos Bell Grande are good if you eat them at the restaurant, by the time I get home they are nasty sludge. I wish they'd spring for decent chips.

cereal is the best late night snack. CTC or HBOO usually does the trick. good for BM's also.

Ali Baba's was another good spot!

Still going strong last time I was through there. It got to be a regular early and late night stop when he first opened business. Being a few miles from my apartment was a plus. He used to experiment on me with different meats and sandwiches when he first opened. Nice guy. He and the family worked like demons in the early days.

I have cereal late many times. Like Honey nut Cheerios, Wheat Chex, Honey Nut Clusters W/Almonds, & Wheaties.

i think they mean the deli in Knoxville but Gus' in West Tenn has probably the best fried chicken you will ever put in your mouth

Yes it is. Anytime I make the trek to Memphis, I stop in Mason. Order of spicy chicken

you should try honey bunches of oats with strawberries. delicious oat clusters fall to the bottom of the bowl, it's always a pleasant surprise.

If I'm out and about after a long night, I prefer a sausage cheese omelet from the awful waffle.
