Last home game was Florida last year, 350$/tix. Took my oldest daughter and it was a great game. No complaints here
Last game was with my youngest to Columbus for the playoff. Terrible game but great memories.

We have season tickets and live close enough that we don’t have to worry about hotels. But my family has made some great memories over the last few years. We went down to 2 tickets for this upcoming year. We enjoy VolClub or Market Square then enjoy the games! We are going to Atlanta next week and spent $150 a ticket, so maybe these neutral sites are the way to go if you want to see the Vols play but can’t afford Neyland

I am not single, or in college anymore. sleeping on the floor or even the couch isn't a good option.

I used to stay in Chattanooga and commute the morning of, but now they are gone too.

That Fairfield in Lenoir City has saved my life a couple times.

Just load up on an a$$ pocket of Jack and toss the empty on your way in.

Then a stadium Coke, then water at halftime coming back from the trough.

Never fails for me.

Been 4 years, but age related ambulatory issues made it impractical. Wife’s 2 new knees don’t handle stair treads and extended distances get my lower back fired up from step compression.

Still mow the yard but set the pace and have periodic rests that restart the clock.

My parents bought “Lifetime” ticket options (i.e., single donation up front, no further need for “donations” thereafter) in Y6 47 years ago, and I took ownership on a one-time transfer in the early 2000s. Held onto them during the bad years in the 2010s because I didn’t want to lose the “no donations required” option. Two years ago, once the Vols got back to respectability, UT in their infinite wisdom rescinded the lifetime options, which hit quite a few long-time season ticket holders. I still have my tickets, but have told others if the Vols start losing again, I may just have to give them up. The real pisser in all of this is the year UT rescinded the lifetime options, they came out with some big announcement saying they had achieved their highest year of giving ever. Yeah - on the backs of all the old-time season ticket holders.

When there was tickets on paper you could buy from scalpers outside the stadium.

Not really a problem in the 10+ years I've been a ticket holder.

Before you could buy it, they just snuck it in anyway so there is no real difference.

Florida last year but only because we were invited by some friends with 4 really good season tickets. Didn’t have to pay for the tickets thank goodness. They are now sharing them with 2 other couples and choosing games. We still spent over $1200 for the weekend between hotel, food, gas, tailgating etc. Not going this fall. The older I get, the less interesting it is when there is a better seat in my recliner.

Agreed. The drunks and rubes are a problem that aren’t worth dealing with. It’s gotten worse over the last 20 years and I just don’t have the patience anymore.

I had season tickets for about 6 or 7 years, Section Q, which is outstanding. Somewhat fortuitous, but I gave them up in February of 2020. Wanted to spend more time with the kids and wife and it was getting too hard to make all the schedules work. We all know what happened in March of 2020. Then, after a couple years, divorce happened. Took time to get things settled. Finally returned with my daughter and girlfriend for the UTEP game last year. Sat in the terrace,in part to spoil both of them, also the girlfriend's friend was off loading the tickets due to some financial issues, so we got them at a pretty good price. Awesome seats, and we all loved it. My daughter, at 10, was hooked (she had been before, but was too young to remember). I won't get season tickets again though. Just too hard to schedule and justify the cost....and we can't write off the donation on taxes anymore. However, I live in town so going to at least a game a year is doable....but the prices are going way up.

The last game was the 2021 Pittsburgh game. I went inside the stadium last year for the Chattanooga game but left before kickoff, going to the Cumberland House to watch games on TV with cold drinks and aircon.

I now live far from Knoxville and require a 2-night stay for any game.

Ticket prices (even secondary market) and airfare do not stop me from attending games. But the obscene hotel prices caused me to make a different choice this fall.

When I priced hotels in early July for the Arkansas game, The Graduate was $7000 for 2-nights in a standard room. Ain’t happening. I know that’s premium, but other hotels in Knoxville were around 3. Again, ain’t happening.

I’ll pay a grand a night, but there are other activities to choose when it gets beyond that.

My last game was Florida this past season. Stayed at The Graduate for $1000 per night. It was my wife’s first UT game and it was great.
