Loss to FL in Neyland in 2012. I had season tickets for years before that but packed in that lifestyle after that game. In just ran its natural course. On to other things with my weekend time. Plus it was a 475 mile drive one way to the stadium from my house.

I went to the Kentucky game last season. I normally go to one home game per year.

I haven't missed a home game since 2021. Used to i would give away or sell tickets not used. Hated dealing with Vivid Seats vendor. Also attend games in Nashville. Have always enjoyed beautiful drive to Knoxville. Although move around slower in my mid 70's, OK so far. There are many kind students and fans in Neyland. Aisle seats have helped. The chair backs on aisle seats are almost like handrails.

I just gave up my season tickets for two reasons.

One my daughter just graduated and it was a way to assure she got to go to all the games and see her.

My tickets were in the corner near the away team section and on the aisle and people were constantly walking up or down the stairs and just stopping to watch a play right in front of me and I missed quite a few plays as I don't mind standing and yelling during big plays, but not the entire game and I couldn't see from the 40 yard line down unless I stood the entire game.

I'm older, but I yelled enough and loud enough to where the woman that sat in front of me would often turn around and scowl at me when it was 3rd down for the other team.

But with the seat location on top of the price increase and my daughter graduating I just couldn't justify keeping them.

@tOSU.

Last time in Neyland was UTEP last season.

I'll be at UGA, ARK, and OU this year. Probably Vandy as well.

Maybe even UAB, but I'll probably sell those tix.

I have passed my tickets on to my kids and grand kids who can afford them. They are still in the family, but I do not know had long that will continue.

Having lived in Charlotte since 87, a bunch of us went to the NC State beatdown. We were riding high after that one!!

I’m outside the Big Orange bubble here in Atlanta, and try to make one basketball or football game home or away each year.

Last game was 2022 at LSU, and it was a fantastic weekend. UT blowout + NOLA cuisine and booze with law school classmates = Chef’s kiss.

Attended UT vs. baby UT hoops in January of ‘23. Also amaze-balls.

Going to Arkansas this year with my son and niece on a campus visit. Can’t wait, but the cost of the tickets was a cash grenade in my budget. 6 tickets on Row 3 of ZZ15 ran me over $2k on TM. 😩

By contrast, I got AFLAC kickoff tickets for $160 each in the lower bowl of MBS which -despite my disdain for the Flacons (sic) - is a GREAT venue to watch a game. Spent equivalent money to watch the Peach Bowl playoff between baby UT and ASU. Skattebo was worth the price of admission. What a game!

Now, my MBS experience is probably related to me being local and having the hookup for tickets at face value and last minute extras, but it helps the illustration.

I suspect those within the Big Orange Bubble have similar discount experiences.

I try to attend at least 1 game per year, hotel prices are the biggest reason. Yes, ticket prices have gone up but not as much as hotels.
I hear you, and find AirBnB provides better value.

I’m staying in Farragut this fall, but usually an AirBnB condo is VERY competitive.

Ticket prices have absolutely affected me going to games. And I can pretty much go on a 4 day vacation for the price it cost to go to a good conference game now with a family of 4, which is ridiculous. But, its all about demand and I understand that. I'll watch from home, unless I get tickets free or at a discounted price.

For football: I haven't been to a game since I was in school when it was free. I will go to another game at some point, but the prices have stopped me from seriously considering it. When the kids are older I will try to get them to one of the blowout games so I don't spend a whole lot of money and we can leave early if they get board and restless.

For basketball and baseball: I have been several times the last couple of years. My ticket hookup gives me good deals on both.

Last few games I've been to have been:

2024 @ OSU
2023 vs UTSA
2022 vs UT Martin
2022 @ LSU

Last P4 game I went to in Neyland was 2021 vs Ole Miss. Used to go to Florida every year it was here or some other big game when not. Probably won't make a game this year.

Live 20 mins from the stadium and it's been cheaper to travel 6-9 hours away, stay in a hotel, and go to an away game.

That’s exactly what I’m planning. I’m going to try to make UAB to visit with friends, but it’s hard to make the drive two weekends in a row.

its not the game day tickets and prices that keep me away. its everything else. in particular hotel prices have gone insane.

It’s like folks run out of friends or family to stay with.

I remember staying in the homes of family and friends all the time and returning the favor.

Now I feel like everyone thinks it’s rude. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had 14 tickets in section B which I gave up in 2020. Age, Health and Covid were the reasons at that time. It had become more difficult to motor around campuses and stadiums for these old legs and hips. Plus, when I had to commit the money, there was not a clear picture if there was going to be a season or not. Others using some of the tickets also didn't want to commit.

Having said that, the cost for those same seats has tripled from what I was paying and I would not pay those prices if offered to me.

Didn't answer question: Took my grandson to Charlotte for NC State last year. We are going to Mississippi State game this year for $60 per ticket. I have tried to get him to one game a year last few years for reasonable tickets.
Yes, sir, keep the kids coming to games.

Last home game I attended Tennessee was down to Bama by just a score and we had Tyler Bray and some legit weapons. We choose to kneel and run out the clock with the ball at the fourty. The stadium was covered with Bama fans enjoying the show. We stayed to the end and it ended up being a major blow-out. Taking that knee with the offense Dooley had should have been the end of him.
