At this point in time a monkey could design a better last second play than Pearl

2 situations with exactly the same scenario....2 HORRIBLE attempts when down only 1 point

And Scotty Hopson plays with no effort or passion at all

I think Bruce is trying to get a miraculous shot made at the end so we can make Sportcenter's Top 10 plays and get a recruiting boost since he can't recruit off campus.

Just kidding, it was terrible.

I doubt Pearl drew up a 32 footer from tobias harris

Yeah, he was really out there dribbling. Now stop dribbling on your bib.

Yeah, he has NOTHING to do with the constant horrible shot selection we have when it come down to last possession. I mean it's not like he's the constant here or anything.

Inexplicable stat: Pearl's Vols are 30-8 in games decided by 2-5 points, but they're 1-8 in 1-point games. ....:hi:

For what its worth the last second play last yr. where J.P. took a 60 footer was unbelievable.

I have no clue what play he drew up but players have to execute what the coach wants. I'm pretty sure the plan wasn't to throw towards half court.

I believe that they should have pushed the ball up the court after the tatum rebound and went straight to the basket without calling a timeout at all. USC was winded to say the least and you can tell me that one of our players could not have drove down the lane and got a better shot before they could set their defense or get fouled. I think that we were pretty good from the free throw line that night. Don't put this on pearl. Sometimes you have to take initiative and do it on your own. I wouldn't have a called a timeout at all.

I actually think that was the plan. Tatum panicked and called the time out when Harris was open near the basket.

I think he should have passed it to Harris on the rebound and let him drive it to the basket. For him to be a freshman he understands what is going on in the game very well. Man I hope he sticks around for another year.

If you see that play, it didn't end up as drawn up so the player once again panics. Cam Tatum, I believe, was wide open 12 feet from basket because his man went to help on Tobias. However, Tobias panicked and shot it. Time to move on. One thing about Bruce is that when a timeout is called at half court, we usually score. Now the under 10 second shots have got to improve and that's a combination of coaches drawing up plays and players recognizing where to go with the ball when the primary option is taken away.
