I have not seen anything on this. Has there been any updates on injuries from the game. On the last play, it looks like 3 of our DL go down with injuries. You can see the trainers running out to those guys right away.

Hope they are just banged up and can heal up over the next 2 weeks.

Not sure who it was but there was a trainer stretching a leg of one player on the ground. Might have been cramps as it was pretty hot

I was worried about Bryson Eason. The two guys that fell down at the goal line just looked relieved and tuckered out, whereas the way Eason was holding his leg after falling down was actually quite concerning. It looked like he accidentally ran into Farooq when he didn't see him on the ground.

I think these kids these days are just soft. Not just our players but all of them in general. They fall out like there is something seriously wrong then next thing you know they are back in the game
This is true, even in the NFL. It’s basically been taught though, coaches would rather you go down for a play than have you get beat because your hammy was a little tight for a second and couldn’t run full speed on a play.

its more of an investment now. and not just NIL $$$. these guys are literally devoting their entire lives to the sport. they need to make sure they are taking care of themselves so that they actually have a future in football.

and for a coach, far better to have a guy feel a little something and have him come out to make sure he is ok to play; than to risk losing him for the season.

I think the coaches like it because its a free time out, so they have an on-field reason to not discourage it.

hopefully, it also means better quality of life after football too. you see some of these guys who are in tons of pain after football because they were "tough enough" to play thru. at the end of the day its still a game, these are still 18-24 year olds, and life goes on. that's not even touching the CTE side of things.

@LWSVOL any new injuries come about? And do you think we get anyone back for Arkansas?

After 5 games, everyone that has been playing 30 plus snaps a game is not 100% and they will not be 100% the rest of the year. If they continue playing that much, they will be feelimng much more sore and tired. Its just part of football. Best thing would be if those guys playing 60 plus snaps a game get some relief and less snaps as season moves along.

Have not heard of anyone getting injured enough Saturday to be at risk of missing games but that is always possible. Perry's ankle probably feels worse today than Saturday so sure he has rehab to do this week... Probably true of others who got dinged (Josephs, West, etc.) as they will be very sore.

Hobbs is projected back. Keep hearing McCoy might get some snaps versus Arkansas BUT, he has not been through team periods or practiced YET. So I'm skeptical about that chatter. If he plays, he best do a lot this week and next. Sanders looks ready physically from his 11 snaps Saturday. Davis? Don't know. Morris, Dont' know. Dye, don't know. Jackson likely out until November and Gibson out for the year. I think I covered everyone.

My caveat, is it is really hard to get accurate info. So anything I say could change...

Soft doesn't have that much to do with it although some may be soft. But if they physically don't pass the medical staff, then they won't practice or play. Medical has the FINAL say on availability. If Heupel was (and players or family have a say about what gets said publicly about their health) more forthcoming with what the doctors are saying, fans would be happier.
