Lane punt return

Is it just me or does it seem like lane takes a while to get going on punt returns? not so much running the ball though

Against Florida, yes. Then again, Florida was top notch at punt coverage with Meyer as coach. I think in 2009, they went half the season without having positive return yards against them.

He does seem to take a second, but towards the end he make a good run on a kickoff I believe. I'm with some other guys, if he can catch it, I am happy for now. Not for long, but for now.

I disagree. I think occasionally you just want a hands guy back there but if field position is right, you need someone who can actually make a play.

Even on our kickoff returns it just looks like our guys are waiting to get tackled instead of just running. On the last one Lane just went dead ahead and it worked. The blocking isnt always gonna be there.

The tentativeness is what kills those returns. Just hit it and go. JMO.
