Grading Lane Kiffin hc Oakland Raiders : fired for losing F Hc Tennessee Volunteers : quit leaving behind a broken recruiting class forcing volunteers to hire a new head coach in a hurry to try and stabilize . not to mention his ncaa violations F Hc USC : fired for losing F Alabama hiring this piece of crap A +

Great perspective! I like A+

I immediately thought of the same thing. However, I really believe at this point Lane will be more of a liability for them than he is a benefit. Hes literally hated in the state of TN and he's just a joke everywhere else.

kiffin never owned the state in recruiting while he was at tennessee.in fact he only signed 4-5 kids from the state.coach O would have been a better hire for that reason than lame kitten.

No one dislikes Kiffin more than I but unfortunately he is a talented offensive mind. He has a track record of recruiting skill over character which in my opinion has back fired on him over the years, but I don't think that will be a problem if Saban has anything to do with it. I think Kiffin is trying to salvage any shred of credibility he has left as a football coach and Saban is a little worried about the hurry up offense that has given them problems this year. I think Kiffin will keep quiet for a couple years and try to salvage his career and someone will be stupid enough to hire him again down the road. But on the other hand nothing would make me smile more than to see Bama implode :)

As much as I dislike Kiffin he can recruit and coach QB's. We'll have to see how it turns out obviously but I consider it a toss up at this point.

IIRC was he not a co-OC while at USC under Pete Carroll? The other co-OC...Steve Sarkisian. Who turned Washington around after a 0-12 season, and is now at USC. I don't think he's that great of a recruiter or coach. At UT he had Ed O to recruit with, who also followed him to USC. Coaching wise his stint here at UT was to short to get any real info. But, at USC, he didn't really impress. Even with sanctions, he had a loaded roster and consistently under achieved. While under Carroll at USC, I think he hid under Sark.

Never underestimate the importance of not being a total dick to everyone you meet. It always catches up to you and LK is no exception.

thats always been the rumor that it was Sark, who was the QB coach, that really made the offense go at USC after Chow left...

There are few people in the state that don't hate Kiffin.

Among those that don't hate him, you would have to find some that don't hate Bama.

Among the very few that don't hate Kiffin and/or Bama, you have to hope you find some that are high schoolers that are good enough to recruit.

Kiffin will have zero effect on Tennessee recruiting.
