...and if he plays you like Gundy it will suck a lot worse for VolNation. Could you even imagine thinking - a year or 2 ago - that you might be begging Lane to come back just to give him the opportunity to give you the finger...again?? Man, don't go there! That would be total devastation.

I truly believe the administration/our controlling booster will drive this program off a cliff before they hire Lane just to spite the fan base for ruining their GS pick... that cliff is rolling closer and closer.

I think he would work out this time. Think about it, his “dream job” is gone, Layla is gone and he wants to hold up to what he told Saban. “You will never beat me again”. This is the place he wants to be. Sexton trotted him through all of the radio shows this morning interviewing for the job. He did a hell of a job dealing with it. He’s matured and I’d really like to see him back.

Yep, why would they do that, if not to subtly audition for the UT job. Surely it's not for the upcoming game.

That’s exactly right. I know he trolls on twitter and gets under people’s skin but is that not what a coach is supposed to do? He has swagger and that is something we have been missing since...

Regardless of how we got here..........crapping the bed. The only coach that could offer any excitement, recruit instantly, put together a qualified coaching staff is Lane FRIGGIN Kiffin. Get him!

This and he would win. He can recruit and he can put points on the scoreboard. Kids would love to play for him and he can relate to them. YES, I was pissed when he left, but that was years ago. He has matured and would bring excitement that we desperately need right now. He has the drive we need as a coach and I believe he would tell the higher ups to stay out of his way. Put some tight stipulations in the contract and keep Currie out of it! Let by gones be by gones and let’s move on. He can make Tennessee great again!!
