When Bob Keserling asked him if he thought about bringing Nick Stephens in after JC's 3 interceptions, Coach K said "No, Jonathanon is our quarterback" and them rambled on about how the interceptions were not Crapton's fault but were caused by the coaches' mistakes or other players.

I noted also that none of JC's 3 interceptions were replayed. In fact, from the film shown it looked like a UT victory.

And finally, does Kiffin always speak in a mumbled monotone?

Can't get down on Kiffin yet, look at what he has to work with. We will be qb rich next year. Let him recruit his guys Two or three years, Crompton will just a bad memory of our crappiest years.

Crompton is still the starter no matter how much moaning and crying takes place on VolNation....

It's going to take a Florida beat down for Kiffin to even consider it. I hope we compete next Saturday and Crompton has at least the same amount of TD's as INT's. I am not holding my breath though.

what'd you want him to say? he said from the beginning that crompton is our qb and he's not going to start a qb competition or controversy once the season starts. if you actually read the other interviews and comments other than what YOU want to hear/read, then maybe you'd know what's going on and wouldn't make nit-picky threads on a vol board and look like an idiot.

if we had peyton manning & only ran 5 yard outs & hitch routes & the defense knew it the results would probably be the same.

They're gonna put the rest of the renovations on hold and pay the top qb's to play here.

look kiffin's gonna get this program up and runnin again its just gonna take a little time. Did u really think we was gonna go undefeated and win the national championship this year or even the SEC championship? If u did i dont know what you was thinkin our program is down right now has been for some years now but it will get turned around soon. I think kiffin made the right decision to keep crompton in. On the Kiffin show, what u expect him to say my qb sucks, he's the coach not someone that writes on volnation after they get mad over the game. I do agree that crompton's not gonna be the Qb after the florida game and i dont believe kiffin's gonna flip flop qb's either. I believe once he decides to change qb's it will be a permanent change. Its obvious that in practice situations crompton looks to be the best qb we have but in a game when the pressures on, the games on the line, and plays need to be made he just dont got it, i believe stephens would handle those situations better in a game. Hopefully crompton proves us wrong, for tennessee and for him, i would love to see it just dont believe it will happen

Man how great is this staff personality wise. Frank Wilson seems like a great coach. I really expect big things out of these guys once they get their players in here.

Other things of note:

I love the round table idea
Neyland Renovations look great
6 fumbles and 1 recovery...had no clue it was that bad

Love these coaches taking blame for actions...That goes a long way with the players.

If we had peyton manning we would actually trust our quarterback to throw the ball

Not laughing at your expense Hen, but that video was hilarious. It should be a mandatory viewing when you sign up on Volnation.

Hens67,I apologize it was not intended to point you out as the only person that does this.It just gets old seeing a thread pop up that relates to one already posted.I just happened to have that video at hand when you posted your thread.

I liked how Kiffin said that it should bother players that they lost the game. I agree. They should be disgusted with the loss. I am a firm believer that UT football will get back on track where it needs to be. This is a program that is in the rebuilding stage. Yes I was VERY disappointed in Crompton-but we still have to keep cheering on the team. If we win we support them and if we lose we support them. Can't get down on them after one loss?
