Lane Kiffin says riot happened because we didn't want him to leave

The riots happened because we all brought into him and everything he did. We stuck up for him when everybody was dogging us, we committed to him and he just pulled the rug out from under us.

Bullcrap the riot was because of the knife sticking out of our collective backs.

Lame was also quoted as saying "the LA riots occurred because the NCAA wouldn't grant O.J. Simpson a fifth year of eligibility". What an idiot.

When will this guy ever get the stick out of his as$? It's not that he left, were glad he left because of his character flaws. We were so mad because of what happened to our program as a result of his departure. Especially with the recruits and the coaching situation.

Make no mistake. TN Fans were just plain angry. Lane Kiffin's misunderstanding of the "riot" is exactly the same reason he left. TN fans are proud. AT TN, college football is not just a game. It's not just a part of life, which it was for Kiffin. TN football is a way of life. When Kiffin was allowed into the Orange Nation he was given trust and honor. He was adopted into a real, thriving family. When Lane betrayed the Vols trust, fans were belittled. For Lane to bolt for an easier job, was to the TN fan the exact same as if he had slept with the corner flash and rubbed her thong under his wife's nose. When the keys of to the program was entrusted to him, he circled around town a few times with a smile, then smashed the car in the side of a stadium. Lane broke the trust of the conservative south. He became a cheater! An ungrateful, selfish debtor. In the south, you do what you say and you stay committed. In the south, when someone lends you their truck you bring it back with an oil change, wash, and shine. Ever heard of shot gun weddings? Yeah...that's from the south too.

:eek:lol: :eek:lol:

Is this the way he sounded to our rivals? What an idiot.

The whole world knows he screwed UT and the players he fooled into making committments that we clearly contingent upon his professed committment. Some of these guys moved families across country to play for that guy based on a belief that he'd stay. That's just wrong! He doesn't get that. What a selfish crap.

And funny how he said he stayed an extra night to finish a few things up in Knoxville. You know good and well if that was true...he looked like a crackhead going through withdrawls, turning his head quickly and watching his own footsteps. No doubt he had body guards in full force because ppl we're going to tear into him.

Exactly! I felt like I was betrayed not because he went to the west coast but because I defended him to everyone and he made a fool out of me. I would jump at the chance to give him a good ol' Tennessee Hills arse woopin'!
