Lane Kiffin says his actions have helped

The best part is the comments by the stupid UGA fans at the bottom of the page. And they call Kiffin a moron.

I think Kiffin has probably wished he'd worded a few things differently, but I love the energy and enthusiasm he has brought. Personally, I like his swagger!

Wow. This is what it has come to for the hillbillies? Publicity stunts and running your mouth in February won’t help you much on fall Saturdays coach. Trust me. This clown is going to get absolutely reamed this season. I can’t say I won’t enjoy it.

Ignorance by design Kiffy? I don’t think so. You are just plain stupid. Paris Hilton gets lots of publicity but it doesn’t make her a football coach.

At first, I thought that CLK simply put his foot in his mouth a couple of times but now I believe there is a method to his madness. I am not sure if the negative comments and recruiting violations were intentional, but he has managed to use this national publicity to his advantage. CLK has created an "us against the world" attitude and these young players are attracted to that. They want to play for a confident coach and want to think they are playing at the best school in the country. UT football is becoming relevant again. The Bama and Florida games will mean something now. Fans are excited again. Maybe CLK hasn't made the best decisions, but at least people are talking about UT football. The future is looking bright.

They won't stop talking about CLK on Jacksonville sports radio. They like to call him "Lame" and "Kitten."

Sometimes these talk radio people are bored/stupid or both. This sounds like the later.

They love to call him "Little Laney" here on sports talk radio in ATL. The same guy said yesterday that it is not true that any publicity is good publicity. Today he said it is true in the case of Ken Griffey Jr. signing with the Braves. Seems to depend on which side of the fence he is on when he comments.

Basically giving Kiffin hell for bricking free throws the other night. LeBatard said there's no way he should be able to recruit if he shoots that poorly. Kornheiser said that he likes the guy.

Like it or not all this fuss over kiffin has overshadowed any other college football story in the past few weeks. They won't shut up about it. Good or not its keeping us on people's minds in february.

I was listening to rivals radio this morning and the conversation kept coming back to Kiffin- several times.

The smoke I believe was unintenional because I believe that was done at USC, but I have felt that comments last week were intentional. Brown was visiting, so Kiffin may of just had him on the brain, but it conveniantly coincided with Brown's visit.

Living in the Atlanta area I'm surrounded by Georgia fans and I've noticed that the vast majority of them wouldn't be able to pass the entrance exam to actually become a student there if you held a gun to their heads... I suppose the same could be said for most every other SEC school also, but the UGA fanbase as a whole is as deluded and well... quite frankly, STUPID as they come. Try to have a conversation with the garden variety Dawg fan and within three sentences you'll hear either a "hobnail boot" reference or the old "Mark Richt is the epitome of what it means to be a Bulldog" line... I don't know of a program in the country whose fans are as vociferous in their support (without the actual record of accomplishment to go along with it) as the UGA fanbase. They'll be quick to point out that no program in the league has won as many games since 2000 as Georgia, but they can't quite get their minds around the fact that they have no national championship hardware to show for it... They got Mark "the classiest guy who ever lived" Richt though and that's all that matters, I guess...

Kiffin knows what he's doing...Have you ever seen so many haters out there. Gators, Bulldogs. and Tide fans unite and keep hating on CLK. Everybody keeps saying in all these forums that florida is gonna hang 60 on us...Who gives a rats a** Three years from know we will dominate. We didnt compete with rivals the past few years with Fulmer. Maybe we will have to go through similar downtimes for a cpl of years with Kiffin..but blame that on Fulmer. Kiffin and company will have the best in the country playing here and by that time: a. Meyer will be at Notre Dame, b. Alabama will be on major probation and, c. Georgia will still underachieve as always....GO VOLS!!!!

Volnazi....I agree with your comment...and this is just one man's opinion...but making one of our coaches look like Hitler in your avatar is extremely offensive to a lot of people & shows poor taste.

If this is offensive to you or anybody else, I apologize. Not my intention to offend narrow minded, politically correct, fellow Vol fans.

Great Article! The old Hollywood saying there is no such thing as bad publicity!

Can you imagin how the media and rival fans will react if Bryce Brown signs with Tennessee?
