The Tennessean also likes to write investigative articles about the misdeeds of the athletic department at UT, so I'm sure they are salivating at the thought.

I think he's a great coach. I hope he grew up under Saban, but I don't think we can know 100% yet.

Like a dog returns to his vomit.....just like UT to go mad and do something so insane.

The paper listed 5 reasons why Kiffin should be hired.
1. Offensive genius
2. nation of second chances
3. Beat Florida to him
4. Winning record as HC 40-24
5. Much better than BJ.

I'm not advocating his hire, just passing along info.

There is one hitch....we still have BJ.

4. Butch's overall record is 83-53. Sorry but that's not a good argument for Kiffin

and we know he will do whatever it takes to stick it to Saban to get back at him...
when he leaves we better hope we don't get the death penalty tho...

If support his rehire. He was a good coach here.

I don't get my morals or need a coach to live up to someone's ideals. I believe in Jesus and that's between him and I.

I need my coach to beat Bama, UGA a d Florida. I don't care if He goes to church or has sex with younger women. I don't care if my coach wrecks cars.

The last two men we've had on the hill are good guys and horrible football coaches. Both have taken millions right out of your pockeg. I want a beast, that doesn't care if you or I agree with his lifestyle. I want a cold and calculated killer.

Well said. Half of these clowns that are bashing my coach now will be scrambling to get his autograph if he is able to come back and get us to the SEC championship game.

There's no one Lane Kiffin enjoys trolling on Twitter more than Tennessee fans

Lane Kiffin has become known for having a sometimes humorous presence on Twitter, so does it come as any surprise that the college fan base he has the most fun trolling is one he used to call his own?

In an interview with Chris Vannini of The Athletic on Thursday, Kiffin discussed a number of topics and admitted that he takes the most pleasure in agitating Tennessee fans and enjoys seeing how people react to his Twitter activity.

"Anything with me, usually when I do something, it's going to be assumed negative immediately, just like the dog years," Kiffin said. "I may post a Tennessee license plate, because I was there recruiting and the kids take it as, 'Coach is coming to see me today' and show their friends. That's how it started. Now, I just think it's funny to see people's reactions. It just blows me away in this world what people get upset about. I know people say life's too short, but I like to see some of the reactions of people, because it's funny that people are that consumed by what you retweet or make a joke."

Kiffin famously left Tennessee for USC after just one season at the helm, and he clearly doesn't mind the fact that Volunteers fans haven't forgotten about it in the slightest.

This in a nutshell. All the second chance stuff aside, the guy has literally done nothing but mock us since he left, and most are too naive to see it.

Exactly and people are so desperate that they'd take him back. Everything he does on twitter is just trolling us but it some how gets misconstrued as a glimpse of hope.

did anybody ever consider that just maybe he has a personality?

why do you think he gets along so well with recruits?

he's having fun and many of you are way too serious.

lighten up and enjoy it!

We might even like him if we got to know him.

I’ve not said he doesn’t. I sincerely don’t think he’s even slightly interested in ever coming back to Tennessee, he just enjoys making fun of us.

I think Kiffin would kill to come back to UT, and I think he would absolutely kill it here. He has matured, kids love to play for him, and he knows what it takes to win championships. If we miss our top target I will take Kiffin. At least he would make Twitter exciting

Kiffin would drag his balls through broken glass from Boca to Knoxville just to get an interview.

If that sob is hired I will disown Tennessee. I will become a miss st fan since my son got a scholarship there that was a helluva lot better than UT offered. You people are like abused wives. Married a drunkard, beat you every night, and verbally abused you, then cheated on ya. Later, your response is, 'well he had a nice smile, and when he wasn't drunk and beating on me, it was great'. Bunch of pansies!

Not quite as bad as you say. Its like starting to date soneone. Who you know is still in love with their ex. Then after a few dates they go back to their ex.

Now the ex is dead, and they tell you how sorry they are, and they shouldn't have left. I believe in second chances. Again not my #1, but I'm not going to boycott.
