I'm probably in the minority but I liked LK when he was here. I didn't like the way he left us but he was a good coach and entertaining as hell. Not saying I want him back but I would take him over someone like Butch or Dooley

If we can’t get anyone from our top tier list, then I think this would be ok. Not many want to admit it but we all liked Kiffin while he was here. He was cocky and talked a lot of shat to other teams and it was fun. He just hurt our feelings when he left. He came close to beating The national champions in 2009 with a dogshat team. Put the right stipulations in the contract and convince the fan base to get over the heartbreak and we will win the East with this guy in 2 years with this talent we have now. Oh and make him bring Monty back too.

Here's what you do. Put 15 million on the table for Gruden and his staff. If he says no, you do the same thing for Chip Kelly. If he says no, you drop down to 7 million for Kiffin and his staff, and spend the remaining 8 million on putting Gulden's Mustard packs back in the gat dang Smokey Dogs.

Well, he was certainly committed to Tennessee Football. He really didn't care for much else. But, UT Football had some of their best years ever under his watch.

I could go for this. He had us competing with pretty much every team in the SEC each week with A LOT of freshmen playing. Plus, look what he did with Crompton. Outside of the UCLA/UF games he had Heisman numbers (look it up). That has easily been the most fun a TN football season has been since the Fulmer days IMO. Make his buyout huge and I am all for this.

That said, I am a sucker for a good redemption story. He would need one heck of a staff and we would require the best lawyers in the land drawing up the contract.

No way to prove it except for those that were in that room in Indy. Speaking to several, they all said the NCAA always stopped one question short of burying UT. WHY? Cause Lane was gone and cause they liked Dooley's Dad. They saved UT. If Lane would have stayed......major probation.
