Lane Kiffin is THE MAN / Postgame interview

Yeah, he's really great. We're 1-2 and just lost for the fifth straight time to the Gators.

Oh, and he played to keep in "respectible" rather than trying to win as the clock ran down.

Wooooooo Hooooo!

We may be 1-2, but at least we covered the spread!

Woooooooo Hooo!

Kiffin Koolaid is simply bizarre.

Fulmer's team loses this one by 30+. He's gone, get over it.

I can't believe someone is criticizing Kiffin's clock management. What do you think he was doing for four quarters. He shortened the game by his play calling and gave us a chance to win late in the ballgame. Our defense played great slowing Florida down and making them earn every yard, but they only forced one punt. A lot of the credit for the low score goes to Coach Kiffin, the blocking up front by the offensive line, and the hard running of Hardesty.

because he won a national championship, recruited peyton manning away from ole miss, should have gone to the national championship in 2001, beat miami at the top or their game (remmeber IM A SOLDIER!! by kellen winslow) and got us to the SEC championship in 07 and should have won is ainge didint throw a stupid pick) i get that we are all excited but come on ole phil was more of a vol than we would ever be.

its sad that so many trash him. i agree change was needed, but it was like firing your dad or somthing it just diidnt sit right with me.

but i love kiffin and think he was the right coach at the right time!

It's not sad trashing a coach who speaks to the daytona beach gator club week of the UT/UF game and has tried to throw this new staff under the bus.

Lane is more than capable of handing the media and the SEC pressure. I admire the man for at least sticking to his plan. Strong talk will be supported with strong play. I certainly hope the team always backs what he has to say or the media will eat him alive. Go BIG ORANGE! So proud to be a Volunteer. We will all be rewarded for sticking it out during these tough years.

You don't think he was trying to win at the end of the game? Is this the first time you've watched football?

Gotta say, the vols came out playing hard and their offensive line deserved a LOT of credit today. Hardesty was able to churn through our defense for a few plays thanks to a very admirable performance by that O line. If you guys had a better excuse for a quarterback, you might be on to something great this season.

Furthermore, Monte K drew up an excellent plan for your defense. Eric Berry was perfectly utilized and if it wasn't for Tebow being around, I really wouldn't be able to argue against Berry getting a Heisman. He's just flat-out great.

So... with that out of the way, are you guys really that happy over not getting blown out?? Really? Is that the sad state of tennessee football, that not getting blown out in a romp is now a moral victory? That's pathetic and SAD. Expectations at your place have hit an all-time low from reading these posts, and it actually saddens me that the once great UF-UT rivalry is dragged down by a school that prides itself on not being blown out in losses anymore.

The intense UF-UT games from the 90's and early part of this decade made me love college football, and I gotta say it's pretty sad to hear tennessee nation cheering over a loss. I take it as a pretty huge compliment that you guys are happy we didn't hang half a hundred on lame kiffin.

By the way, Kiffin will still get knocked around by the rest of the SEC. Don't forget how much he ran his mouth about Spurrier and Bama. I'd root hard for UT if it wasn't for that gigantic, obnoxious mouth of his.

good, now please leave troll.we don't need your gator a-- on this board anyway.:hi:

Stephens should be playing QB--and that is on Kiffin.

When has Stephens ever proven he deserves to play anything? He completed less than 50% of his passes last year and sucked equally with Crompton. The coaches see them in practice each day and pick Crompton.

If there was ever any questions as to whether Coach Kiffin's offseason tactics were arrogant, rude remarks made by the youngest coach in D1 football or orchestrated plays aimed at bringing UT back to the national spotlight and garnering a top level recruiting class, it was answered by the postgame interview.

Tennessee loses by 10 to the mighty Gators at the hands of the the chosen one, Tim Tebow, and his beloved coach, the genius Urban Meyer, and who do they cut to for the first postgame interview?

Lane freaking Kiffin.

Say what you will about Kiffin. You think he's brash, mouthy, cocky, whatever...that's fine. You hate his tactics, and think he should be more respectful...you're intitled to you opinion. All I've got to say is, whatever his agenda is...

it's working.

Go Vols.

Amen,Brother. As fans of the VOLS we need to look at the big picture. CLK is building something that we can be proud of for year's to come! Lane has the look of fire on the sideline when all Phil could do was clap his hands.:eek:k::eek:k::eek:k:

It's not about keeping the game close but what is coming to the Gators in the future. If you have not been paying attention we are shopping at the same store for players you are now and winning alot of those battles. When the talent leave becomes even or even close to even---Watch out Gators and the rest of the SEC.

Kiffin proved saturday we fear no team----suck on it Gators!

Why can I not find his post game interview? I wanted to send it to all my Tn hater "friends"!! If anyone has it...please post the link

R U Crazy? They complimented the Vols many times during the game.

They did speak very well of UT most of the game. One thing that does bug me though is this: people continually talk about our lack of playmakers on the outside. What are they talking about!?! We've got some guys who can make plays, but we just don't have a QB to get the ball to them. With the way we CLK is preparing this team, and with the way we are running the ball and playing terrific D, all we need is a serviceable QB (ala Rick Clausen). I'm excited for the future...Hopefully EB can stick it out one more season.

I don't see a link on youtube yet.... It's only a matter of time though. That quote is way too good to go unnoticed!!

Choo-Choo!! :cheer:

LOVED reading everyone's post. Don't have much to add except that I sure love this feeling of excitement about our VOLS!!
