Stephens should be playing QB--and that is on Kiffin.

and you really think that would make a difference?they competed for the job and Crompton won it.BOTTOM LINE we dont have a even decent QB to put in there,,even though i really dont think Cromton had a bad game today, just not a good game.

Yeah, he's really great. We're 1-2 and just lost for the fifth straight time to the Gators.

Oh, and he played to keep in "respectible" rather than trying to win as the clock ran down.

Wooooooo Hooooo!

We may be 1-2, but at least we covered the spread!

Woooooooo Hooo!

Kiffin Koolaid is simply bizarre.

get some new material dude this is all i have seen you post is how everyone is on kiffin koolaid
are you Phillip Fulmer
move on

Gotta say, the vols came out playing hard and their offensive line deserved a LOT of credit today. Hardesty was able to churn through our defense for a few plays thanks to a very admirable performance by that O line. If you guys had a better excuse for a quarterback, you might be on to something great this season.

Furthermore, Monte K drew up an excellent plan for your defense. Eric Berry was perfectly utilized and if it wasn't for Tebow being around, I really wouldn't be able to argue against Berry getting a Heisman. He's just flat-out great.

So... with that out of the way, are you guys really that happy over not getting blown out?? Really? Is that the sad state of tennessee football, that not getting blown out in a romp is now a moral victory? That's pathetic and SAD. Expectations at your place have hit an all-time low from reading these posts, and it actually saddens me that the once great UF-UT rivalry is dragged down by a school that prides itself on not being blown out in losses anymore.

The intense UF-UT games from the 90's and early part of this decade made me love college football, and I gotta say it's pretty sad to hear tennessee nation cheering over a loss. I take it as a pretty huge compliment that you guys are happy we didn't hang half a hundred on lame kiffin.

By the way, Kiffin will still get knocked around by the rest of the SEC. Don't forget how much he ran his mouth about Spurrier and Bama. I'd root hard for UT if it wasn't for that gigantic, obnoxious mouth of his.

I know this is all an attempt to make yourself feel better since Superman couldn't deliver on the promised beat down, but nobody here has tempered expectations. When we don't have Helen Keller playing at quarterback, it's going to be a different story. You're just angry because you've come to the same realization.

Right, just like we got knocked around by your team today.

We're at the point with Florida that if we play it close it's a win for us. Sad.
Do you not understand that is because the former regime dragged the Volunteer program down that far and it's going to be a battle to get back where they are used to? This kind of rebuilding project can't happen overnight. So yeah, to answer your question that's the point we're at.

You mistake happiness for the excitement of a step forward. Am I happy my beloved Vols again were beaten by my hated Gators? No and I dont think anyone in Vol Nation is. Am I happy that we appear to be a quarterback away from a victory tonight? No. But could I see tonight a turning of the ship in the right direction? You bet and unlike past years when I would be saying how the hell are we gonna fix this...tonight I will be repeating the now famous words of Lane Kiffin, "We will see you next year" and for the first time in a few years, Gator Nation might take that threat seriously.

We have suffered several years of poor recruiting Jackass....of course we are excited...you guys are fielding the number one team in the country and we are rebuilding...don't disappear when you guys lose two this year...which you will...enjoy the citrus:good!:

I dont think any of our fans are happy that Tennessee lost. However you have to take positives wherever you can. No one even gave us a chance of winning. Even the vegas oddsmakers made florida a 30 point favorite. It was even said that Florida would win by AT LEAST 5 Touchdowns. Before the game they were discussing how badly UT was going to get blown out and would Florida use their timeouts in the last minutes of the game to run up the score even farther. According to the media this was supposed to be Urban Meyer's " Statement game. This isnt the same team that was around in the 90's far from it. Everyone was sick that last year we couldnt even be competitive. So this year yes we are happy that we can at least be competitive.

Next year you lose Tebow and maybe even your coach. So enjoy these victories while you can.

Dude we have QB that is the worst in school history and we still give you all you wanted. One question for you when we tied it at 3-3, and then we got it back within 10 and stopped you on in the 4th qtr. Did you think we were pothetic then or did you about pee your pants? Well get ready , we are on our way back and with the staff we have right now we will be there for along time.

I love it! Kiffin made my day with the post game comments. I'm so proud of our team. We lost the game, but we shut some mouths in the process. I found it pretty funny when he out ran that dumb lady at halftime too. Then she tells him he's pretty fast and he simply says... Yeah.. And gave her that look that pretty much should make anyone feel stupid. Awesome!

For the record, just what did he say that was supposed to be so terrible about bama and also, for the record, Spurrier was the one that shot his mouth off about kiffin first.

I love how he said he put the pressure on him not on his team so they could play loose and then said he wasn't going to sing rocky top but quote "I will come back down here with Bruce. He is 7-1 against them". I love it

I know what the Q in your name stands for.. As for your stupid remarks that we are happy with a lose I say BS. We are looking at the positives we saw today, a team that played a full 60 min and busted UF in the mouth. Also we take some pleasure in stoping uf from putting the big beat down that you, every gator and hundreds of sports writers broadcasters and so called football knowit all's predicted...

Lane knows exactly what to say that will get in the media and it always seems to result in a top player coming to UT. Who will be next? It's evident young players are drawn to him and his staff like a magnet. Know that rebuilding takes time but the confidence, discipline, talent and arrogance he brings to UT is long overdue. Fans need to show up for this team next week and show their support.

Your right. in practice JC won the job. However, it is apparent that he cannot transfer his solid practices to game days. Dude just isnt a gamer.

im going to have to say lane kiffin is the man. if he keeps this staff together for 3 years on the 4th we will playing for a championship. keeping orgeron is key guys. pay him whatever he wants. if you build it they will come.

Talk about fresh air.

How did we tolerate Foolmer for so long?

because he won a national championship, recruited peyton manning away from ole miss, should have gone to the national championship in 2001, beat miami at the top or their game (remmeber IM A SOLDIER!! by kellen winslow) and got us to the SEC championship in 07 and should have won is ainge didint throw a stupid pick) i get that we are all excited but come on ole phil was more of a vol than we would ever be.

its sad that so many trash him. i agree change was needed, but it was like firing your dad or somthing it just diidnt sit right with me.

but i love kiffin and think he was the right coach at the right time!
