Lane Kiffin = Herpes

And I thought it was annoying when people started threads to gloat after a win or loss...

I am glad that you guys wised up, but as a Gator I was very disappointed when he was at UT and you guys embraced him so warmly. He was always a shoddy little hustler. Not worthy of a great university; not UT and not even USC. When UT fans clasped him to their collective bosoms, I felt UF had lost a valued rival.

If Gators now laugh at UT for getting sanctions from a head coach who was wrongly criticizing Meyer for supposed violations, can you blame us?

You've got a good coach now. Good luck and come back soon. We need a classy rival.

Not all UT fans fell at Kiffin's feet. Enough of us did but not all.

But I think the "I told you so" moment passed a long time ago.

Why don't we worry more about who will win this football season and less about the Breck Girl that is UT's former coach?

In one year, managed two major violations, violating 14 different bylaws, including violations for activities he was directly instructed not to do, and usually right after he was instructed not to do. That's a new record for the SEC in the speed at which he committed violations and managed to get caught.

When you get done with your cyrstal ball can you send it my way? I have stock picks to make.

This. I'd rather get Kiffin out of NCAA all together, because coaches like him ruin the game.

Maybe I missed it but the brunt of the allegations seemed to be pointed towards Pearl.

Whoa whoa whoa, not all of us embraced him!! I for one that did not like him from the word go!! I knew from a cultural stand point that he did not fit. I do admitt that I did support him because he was I our coach, But I did not like the way he did things!!

But it seems funny to me that everybody wanted change, new era, all the smack talking, traditions dont matter to recruits, it was all fun and games. But then when he took a giant dump on UT, all of a sudden the attitudes changed "we need to get back to traditional ways, the Tennessee way". Well we have a coach that has brought that back!
Kiffin and his lovers are big douches in my book!!

I thought Kiffin left the program in a better place originally. My opinion has changed over the last year due to these violations and the problems with his recruits though. I personally don't think having a thread implying people are morons because of their opinion does anything to improve the situation.

But hey, just think how pimp Nu'Keese would have looked in those black uniforms year after year. We'd be so hard dawg. We could take our shirts off and bump chests.

/sarcastic/typical Kiffinite line of thinking

ITA,

I never was on the Lane Train and my dad was popping champagne the night Kiffin announced he was leaving (not an exaggeration).

It is funny how people were all about "new and exciting" things but this year the stress has been on tradition.

I guess there needs to be a balance, we need to change with the times but we also need to respect the past. Kiffin just wanted to make UT the USC of the east (no thank you!) but it looks like Dooley has infused the right amount of energy while keeping us UT.

Very few, if any, threads on any message board do "anything to improve the situation." Its a message board. People give opinions and then feel smart when they are right or feel dumb when they are wrong. All the "Phil" threads have done nothing to improve any situation either.

My crew leader is one of those people, he wants coach Dooley to fail because he was riding the lame train all the way and he gets pissed at me because I told him the day of the hiring of lame he did not fit!!

so you didn't say we should give him time?

I agree with you 100% UTMARK. I have been all vol since 1986, i support who ever is on the side line with pride and great RESPECT. You fools with horse blinders on wanted new blood, well we got and yall still aint happy!!! Give it time, rome wasnt built in a day.

also here is what utmark said that you agreed with

Now, this is Lane Kiffin's team and I pull for them. We are drastically outclassed at nearly every position and after FIVE games, we are already starting to question the coaching. I guess if we do not win the national championship in the next few years, some of you will be calling for his head again(b/c we won it so many times in our history).

GIVE IT TIME! We are one of the least penalized teams in college football(attributed to coaching), we are competitive in every game this year and do not quit(attributed to coaching), and getting better quality of kids to look at us(I think you get the point).

Just give it time fellas

and for the record I'm just kidding around with Grizz (but the posts are real)

Good post sir.

I call it "The Year of Madness". I bought in hook line and sinker, and as I look back I knew he was dirty but he was so different from Phil that it felt good to have someone that didn't just stand there on the sideline and clap.

Oh well. I hope those new antibiotics can help.

:)
