Kiffin, Tennessee to receive Notice of Allegations|Daily Trojan

From the article:

"A portion of the charges stem from an alleged “failure to monitor” on behalf of current USC coach Lane Kiffin, who spent one season in Knoxville as coach of the Volunteers.

The football program has been under investigation by the NCAA for violations committed under Kiffin’s watch, which involve alleged impermissible contact made between Tennessee’s Orange Pride program and various recruits.

If Kiffin does receive a copy, as expected, he, as well as Tennessee, will have 90 days to respond."

If not mistaking, I believe they have received a letter and now moving into the 60 day area. Unsure if has been responded to at this point.

No. It has not been received yet. The word leaked to the media is that it will be delivered tomorrow.

Kiffin, David Reeves and UT will receive it at the same time and will have 90 days to respond separately.

Nope. Won't find out 'til June. Letter has nothing to do with punishment. I would venture to guess a year or two "probabtion" (almost symbolic in nature) for football, and maybe the loss of one or two scholarships at the very most. Football is not what Vols fans should be worried about in regards to these allegations.

Agreed. As much as Vegas Vol hates it.

ESPN is reporting we already got it. If true, suggests strongly that it's bad news, because Hammy & crew would have leaked it to Hubbs, etc., if it contained anything but worse news than expected.

I am fairly certain in stating there is one area there is still dispute from ut about. Everything else is expected.

The fact hammy is in Nashville may have a bit to do w it.

We got it today, and Hamilton wasn't in Knoxville, I believe.

If Hammy hasn't even read it yet after the university received it, then he's a bigger moron than I thought...

Just reported on ESPN that it will be received tomorrow. Even if it was actually received today, all anyone should infer into this is that we have a big basketball game tonight. Period.

Oh ok. I'm honestly just ready to find out. I'm tired of waiting

Consider yourself edumacated.

Hammy has said for some time that they would release the contents of the letter 24 hours after they received it. I don't see how not releasing it before 24 hours means that the news is worse than expected. Why sweat it until we know what it says? What will be, will be.

Why does it take him 24 hours to release a letter when he can hire a HFC in 72 hours?

He should open the envelope with the pink slip in it right after he opens the one from the NCAA.

Hammy is just trying to milk the media for more attention on what UT has done wrong. He's smart with PR like that remember?

What I've heard is that Tennessee will not get the Failure to Monitor charge. Also, Pearl and 3 asst's will get show cause letters.
