Have John and Jimmy said anything about what Brent Hubbs has said? Just wondering if they are even addressing it because i've not seen much written about it on govolsxtra.

I think ill be happy with it. He is young and can relate to players and i believe he will bring in a good coaching staff and a heck of a recruiter.

Over on Volquest, Brent said that he has been trying to get someone at the UTAD to tell him a decision has been made...he's been asking that all day but no one is saying anything. I think Brent believes Kiffin is getting the job.

On the tennessean website it talks about Oku decommitting and he said he is very interested in the coaching search. He said he wants to open up to schools with non-spread offense. Des he think we will have a coach to run the spread?

Why then am I listening to Jimmy Hyams being so abrasive of how terrible of a candidate he is. He is telling a caller right now that he would take Davis, Leach, Kelly, and some others before him and that he didn't do anything that a normal OC does at USC and was second choice for the Raiders Job. Wouldn't he know something if Brent Hubbs had some info?

The University of Tennessee interviewed former Raiders coach Lane Kiffin for their opening and none other than Al Davis is using all his contacts to call to bad mouth Kiffin to the University Administrators and boosters. When I got word of this from my Tennessee sources, I contacted my Raiders contacts and a member of their player personnel department who speaks with Davis daily told me that Davis is spending more time worrying about where Kiffin might end up rather than focusing on fixing his problems in Raiderland. I have knowc Al Davis for some time and it pains me to say this but he has become nothing but a vindictive, bitter old man who has become an embarrassment to himself, the Raiders and the NFL."

Please tell me you don't actually believe Hyams. After all, it's just his opinion.

BTW, the lastest gossip over on Volquest is that a poster swears on his life that it will be Kiffin and he'll bring his dad as the OC. He has a "source" that is one of the decision makers and he is very confident about this...not really buying it myself, but I could be wrong.

No I don't put all my stock in Hyams at all. Just thought they would try to be on the same page.

Why would Kiffin's dad come as OC when he is a DC? I don't think his dad would come anyway.
