I can see us hiring kiffin as a coordinator & recruiting assistant. Dont think he can bring us back to the top. And i would rather watch steam comin off a hot turd than rooting for the tide ! I live in bama & these idiotic fans here say "ha ole saban run fulmer off". I tell them bammer iz why fulmer lasted so long because of the great run he had against their gay crimson arse`s !!!

I like Kiffin. He won as an offensive coordinator at USC. I don't hold the Raiders gig against him, no one could have done a better job than him there, ask Mike Shannahan.??spelling?? He got done the same way by Davis and turned out really well.
Kiffin wouldn't do a horrible job at Tennessee. He has enough experience to recruit, and he can coach offense.
Lets face it, we are in a lot of trouble if the first hire doesn't do an outstanding job coaching and recognizing talent.:thumbsup:
We need a super coach!!:superman:

Only 1 year as OC at USC. He's not impressive other than his last name.

From what I can see he gets so much love for the same reason public officials get elected. Face time publicity in the media, never underestimate name/face recognition regardless of qualifications. :dunno:

Kiffin will be good here. His youth and inexperience bothered me at first, but there are a lot of knowledgeable folks who swear by this guy. With his connections, he should be able to put together a hell of a staff and recruit some national talent.

I see this entire coaching search as being a life long red sox fan....I severly have some comments and favorites, but I do not donate enough money to have my opinion matter, so next Labor Day, I will be there to cheer whomever it is on the Vol Walk. Also to watch Tajh Boyd, exciting news.

Mortenson was on the Knoxville airways this morning as a payback to his friend Kiffin. Kiffin is wanting the best college job he can pull and Mort's job was to push Kiffin as much as possible. When Kiffin was told by Al Davis in Oakland he was fired it was 5 minutes before Mortenson had the story. He got that story from his friend Kiffin. Now he is on our radio telling us that Kiffins the guy. Don't get me wrong I think Kiffin may be our best reasonable option behind Butch, but understand Mort's motive.
