Lane Kiffin (Head football coach of the University of Tennessee)

I'm all for the Obama plan.

Call it socialism all you want but it's going to be different from what we've seen in the Bush economic plan which is partially responsible to leading us to this economic crisis were in now.

"Partially responsible" is damn right. How about your precious Clintons, who idea it was to give everybody and their brother a loan?

Sheesh, now I'm all fired up about this crap. Let's get back to Kiffin, Cowher, Gruden, Leach, Peterson, Patterson, Muschamp, Mendenhall, Kelly, Davis, Cutcliffe...did I leave anyone out?

definitely different. Welcome to a 2 class society. All my hard-earned money gets to go to the Rich "help" the Poor. We're going to be just like France before this is all over with.

any new news on Lane?

Well the class who's going to be getting these tax breaks and saving money is the largest class and will have the biggest impact on getting the economy out of the rut it's currently in.

:eek:lol:

You ever worked for a poor person?

Taxing the hell out of the "rich" will only have a trickle down effect on everyone else.

Beep beep

I wonder if Kiffin will leverage a large salary with Clemson and Washington also being open to jobs...I hope we pay him well, but I hope we don't give him some ridiculous contract that binds us for years to come.

Enjoy the next 8 years.

Enjoy the next 8 years.

I truly will as I receive such great tax breaks allowing me to save more money so by the time Obama is out of office in 2017 I'll have money saved and a profitable business that even when I reach the $250,000 threshold I won't be taxed as the Republican(likely) who comes in won't tax me in the way Obama taxed those with $250,000 business' during his presidency.

I want your job, if you can go from the lowest class to the highest in 8 years.

So should the title of this thread be...Obama presidency, how will it affect you?

Or are we talking football?

how did the Kiffin thread get hijacked? I just hope Lane can convince Ken Norton Jr to be his DC.

Enjoy the next 8 years.

Hey, I live in Alaska...how could it get any better? $2100 for each household member from the oil dividend (annually), and a $1200 energy rebate this year. Thanks Sarah.

Not to mention the best hunting and fishing you can find...snowmobiles in the winter, corvettes in the summer. I'm blessed, what can I say.

Sorry for the hijack guys, that's "partially" my fault.

If Kiffin is calling plays, would we have an offensive coordinator at all? Kind of like the deal they have with the Colts?

Thats the best thread of the day! Im moving to alaska!

If Kiffin were to be offered and accept the head coaching job, I would think that he would get his father to be the defensive coordinator, would he not?

I just don't see his father coming to be a DC at the college level when he's doing the same thing in the NFL.

You might if you're 68 years old, your reputation in the NFL is secure, and you thought it would be cool to spend the last few years of your career working with your son every day. That strikes me as about the perfect way to go out.

A very reliable source close to the program in Knoxville has just reported that Lane Kiffin is on the golf course with a prominent UT booster.
Most speculate that the prominent booster is Jim Haslam.
