Please...Be realistic...Gruden is not coming here...It's all over the Tampa radio stations....They are laughing at Us for even thinking that..Have been for two days...Muschamp has never had one day of head coaching experience...Not one..Yeah lets be a guinea pig and hire him :ermm:...That's silly...Let Clemson have that honor...Even mentioning Stoops name is hilarious because who on earth is going to pay that man 9 million to coach a team???..WHO??...He already makes 6.5 mill a year and has as many national titles as Fulmer.

Uh, Kiffin has recruited some of the best college players imaginable. Bush, Lienhart, Tatapu, etc. And was the OC for one of the most dangerous offenses known to man.

And apparently he's done something right, because even though Al Davis is crazy, why would any NFL owner give someone a shot who didn't know what he was doing in college? And not a HC, a OC! They wouldn't.

Lane Kiffin is not my top choice, but the bashers are starting to piss me off

my two cents in the whole search is

everone but the die hard bama fans did not think saban was going there.
then poof he appears in bama.
so, money talks, if ut wants gruden they can get gruden if the dead presidents are loud enough for him . if ut wants kiffin who i think is there choice right now, they will get kiffin. without a doubt ut is ontop of the list of schools needing a coach. somewhere theres someone going to hopefully come in and get us competive again.

Stoops salary is more along the lines of $3.5/yr. He gets a $3M tenure bonus (for being there 10 yrs) at the end of this year so that $6.5M is his salary for just this year.

Kiffin didn't recruit Leinart,Bush,or Tatupu.

Stop making **** up to defend Kiffin,Kiffin organized the recruiting plan for PC by picking out the targets for SC to recruit but he only personally recruited David Buehler,Butch Lewis,and Michael Coleman.

Ken Norton Jr has been USC's best recruiter for each of the past 5 seasons.

Jon Gruden also interviewed Sark and initially offered the job to Sark first before Sark declined.As mentioned earlier Davis was trying to catch lightning in a bottle for a 2nd time by hiring a young assistant like he did 9 years earlier by hiring Gruden.

But you have to realize that Kiffin more than failed as a HC,he was an embarassment.
