Lane Kiffin as OC? What say you?

This website would be down for a few days if that happened, because they still can't get over what happened almost 10 years ago.

If this happens then guess we will have to hire the OC that I heard Pruitt originally wanted I can't think of his name but ole miss's old head coach

Nope! I would not mind however if Helton got a new gig and we could talk Haley into leaving the NFL for the Vols. He just got fired from Cleveland and his offenses with the Steelers were physical, strong and good. It'll never happen but he'd be my vote, after Peyton of course :)
Helton may bolt, I don't think he and Pruitt agree on how physical an offense needs to be for CJP. That's just my opinion, no real basis for it. Pruitt is hard nosed old school bigger, faster, stronger with fight usually wins type coach and Heltons persona doesn't seem to match up the same. He's struggling coming up with running plays that get past the LOS in this league and his scheme may play better somewhere else. He's the only hire Pruitt made that I really didn't like. He will stay but would not surprise at all if he didn't. I'd welcome Randy Sanders back if he was interested, always thought he got a bad rap here.

Hugh Freeze? Yeah, I think I would rather take Lane back than bring in that kind of baggage that Freeze would bring in. He needs at least 5 years exiled from FBS before he gets something like that again IMO.

I hope that Helton stays, but with Tee on the brink of losing the OC job, and Helton obviously having strong ties with his big brother, I could see him bolt for Cali. I think our chances of getting Haley are about as strong as getting Peyton, next to no chance. Bring on the Lane Train. He would work day and night to make an offense that would take down Saban.
