Lance Thompson's Contract Not Extended

Sunseri has shown nothing that LT hasn't, in regard to being promoted. I would go back if I were in his shoes. He'd be more of a proven commodity under Saban, than here. Smart move on his part. It's all about making the perceived "Splash" hire. So, LT went where he'll be perceived as such in the next few years.

Does LT have 2 NC under him in the past 3years?? no....Has LT bought any great recruits to us since he been here not really!! Just watch it's Sal time to shine :loco:

Sal takes Over LB's and brings in a DL coach :loco:

and i bet you when Bama DC leaves LT will not replace him

Two things:
I love Thompson because he despises all things LK
His style seemed to fit the previous staff's better. I think he really loved it in Knox though. I wish it could have worked out for him.

Probably not because if Saban wants Sal back, he will be back at Bama.

So LT is a "splash" hire at UA? Have you checked how they feel about it? Their fans don't seem to be too thrilled. LT is replaceable. I'm betting we upgrade on both a coaching and recruiting standpoint.

I agree with this my prediction is that Sal returns to Bama when Smart leaves and we are left with neither one here.

:loco: Remedial Reading Comprehension classes for you. Notice the future tense, and while we're at it, want some ketchup to go with that foot? :)

A very reliable poster on TOS said that CLT was going through a divorce and that his night life was becoming a problem.

Dooley and Thompson did not get along. Thompson was not going to be the DC. But Dooley should have at least interviewed him. That would have been the decent thing to to do. Lance Thompson felt disrespected by not receiving at least an interview so he left. He did not get a contract extension more security at Bama so he left. Means only one hangover from Kiffin's coaching staff.

Something tells me CDD isnt the type to play games by "interviewing" someone he knows isnt going to get the job...that's one reason a lot of folks(fans) dont like Dooley....he's not much of a smoozer...you get what you see....and Saban, well he's the king of straight shooting......something to be said for both I guess...I personally like the straight shooter and leave the smoozers at home...HOWEVER never a license to be rude or disrespectful to anyone...that's the way I see it FWIW

You said LT went where he would be perceived as a splash hire. If you're talking about UA, I don't think they see him as a splash hire.

Am I the only one that would have been infuriated by a token interview?

Spare me this "all you had to do was just give him a courtesy interview" nonsense.

Basilio keeps banging that drum and its ASININE.

A token is worse, IMO. It sucks interviewing for a job you know isn't yours.

Is this part of your opinion or has there been mention of this?

I find this to be very hard to believe.

Which is hard to believe, the profanity-laced tirades, or that Hart has put an end to them??

(it's getting awfully confusing here)

That Hart is going to mandate the language his coaches use. No chance he is doing that IMO

Thank you, but I will take their track record and sources over yours.

Finding out when the divorce took place might find out who is correct here. I was under the impression he was going thru that when he left Bama.

No problem. My source is the 19 yr old coed he was dating while on the Bama staff and partying where he shouldn't have been.

There is nothing close to that with him in Knoxville right now. He still likes to drink. Many coaches do.

When the divorce happened isn't the issue....the issue is that his partying has "effected his recruiting during his time here".
