all of this banter back and forth over about 10 of these pages on Saban is funny.
I remember about 5/6 years ago when everyone kept saying Tubberville was so great and it didnt matter that he kept losing asst coaches.
look where he is now..

not the greatest comparison but.....

Saban is a very good coach it appears.

UT now has AN INCREDIBLE staff on the defensive side of the ball.

as to the comment who would one rather play for CLK or SAban.

hmm 14 of the 30 nfl teams run a form of the Tampa 2 that monte created.
If you play D and want to play pro....would you rather play for the guy that invented the Tampa 2 and have 3 or 4 years exp in it for the draft or a guy that doesnt run it and 0 exp....just a thought

All we gotta do is keep our offense off the field so our defense can show it's stuff. After all defense is what wins championships.

We did a great job of that last year. :good!: Maybe CLK will instill some of those under 2 min scoring drives that USC is known for. All I know is the past 3 years I have instantly focused my attention to our basketball team as soon as our football season was over. With the staff that CLK has assembled, I am more than excited! Player development is one thing that the previous staff seemed to lack, and I hope and pray our All-Star staff focuses on that as much as they focus on recruiting. If they give that kind of attention and show that same kind of passion, look out Satan and CUM!:rock::rock:

I agree that defense wins championships, but I don't think we want to keep our offense off the field.

No turnovers, no 9yd passes on 3rd and 10, no false start penalties taking us from 3rd and goal on the one to 6 to go, no punts returned for tds, no two yd toss sweeps on 4th & 3. I really think I'm on to something here.
