Haven't heard much from him or about him this year. I know assistants aren't as open to the media as last year but he seems to have completely fallen off the map. Anybody got anything on him? If I had to pick one assistant who would not be here in 2011 he'd probably be the one I picked.

Why in the world would you just throw that in? Just pull it out of the air and see if it takes off.

He will only be let go if he wants out. Chances are that if he wanted out he could have walked last year.

Lylsmorr is correct. He is too good to just let go without a fight, If he needs more money then we will pay it.

The only other factor is how he and Wilcox operate together and as far as I know, there is nothing to indicate that anything is amiss.

He is just a coach that keeps his head down and does the work, and admirably so this year.

I hope he doesn't go anywhere. I think he's a great asset to the program.

I've also heard from many places around Knoxville he's not been happy with the current set-up and that he wasn't given more consideration for the d-coordinator position. Merely my opinion.

Edit - I don't think he will ever be let go. I think if he leaves it will be his decision. My bad for not clarifying that in the initial post.

there is very likely to be some turnover in the staff but I don't think Lance heading anywhere unless he gets a coordinator offer.

Interesting. Not surprising though. There really aren't any I want gone - esp the coordinators

He must be happier than he was. The last I had heard he was still very annoyed with the situation.

?? You're opinion is that you've "heard he's not happy"

He is the best recruiter in the country. He was the recruiting coordinator @ Bama the years befor the one the national championship. Next year will be the year he shows how good of a coordinator he can be.
