CLT is our main recruiter in the south especially on the defensive side of the ball. He was involved in 2 top 3 recruiting classes with Alabama, and what would've been a top 3 class if Kiffin stayed last year...

I am wondering if he is pulling the trigger on offering some of the recruits that just dont seem to be SEC caliber players we are offering this year. Is Dooley coming to him for all the input or is it just Dooleys call. By the way CLT hasnt been at a job for more then 2 yrs.

I am not ripping Dooley and I believe he has the program going in the right direction, but the timetable is longer then it would've been if Kiffin were here.

You have no clue what our class would have been ranked if Kiffin stayed. It's stupid to say it would have been top 3.

But we also can't say it wouldn't. That said I am happy with the job our staff did to hold the class in place and add a few of their own.

Chances are Kiffin would have had a top 3 or at least a top 5 class, but I will take Dooley and his no. 9 class any day to have Kiffin and his shady actions off the hill.

By whose assessment are they not SEC caliber players? Yours? As between your assessment and that of CLT and/or CDD, I'll take the coaches' opinion.

the recruits we have, i cant help but beleive thompson and chaney passed grace over them. so im not that uncomfortable with them. plus all the other stuff like very few high stars are committing at this time of year.

Thompson has been a tremendous asset for both coaching staffs IMO. However, trying to move on.....this staff is the only one worth discussing now. That is also just my opinion.

Like someone said earlier, last year they were considered diamonds in the rough, this year they are not SEC calibar players. Just because these kids are not highly rated right now does not mean they will not be whenever NSD rolls around. Just relax and trust what the coaches are doing, I trust their player judgement over anyone else here.

Just like Fulmer and CLK, Dooley makes the call on offers. Most head coaches make that decision with staff making recommendations

It's funny to me that most of the people who say Kiffin would have had a top 3 class follow recruiting MUCH more closely than the ones that say there's "no basis for that" or "you have no clue" and acting like we would have stayed 6th.
