Lance Thompson mentioned at USC east

I think Hart may have wanted Sunseri. He is more familiar with him than Thompson. I think LT could be a viable DC candiddate. I wish they would have at least interviewed him. Just remember, Dooley didn't hire Thompson. He was hired by Kiffin.

This may be true but Lance worked for Saban for two years at Bama while Hart was there before he came here. I know Hart had to know that Sal was the planned succesor to Smart at DC. Everybody down there talked about that one. I think Sal's 7 years with the Carolina Panthers also trumps Lance on a DC role here.

FYI Baggett was the Assistant HC last season, not CLT.

I agree that TN needs to keep CLT, so hopefully he stays.

Lance is making the neighborhood of $600K I believe. South Carolina or any other school will not top that unless they make him the DC.

I thought CLT was making 350K. That was pretty good pay for a DC not many years ago.

Having them both makes this team all the more. That's two ace recruiters.

I just hope that Dooley makes some type of overture to reward Thompson, in order to keep him. With Monte Kiffin taking LT under his wing for a season, I think Thompson has been itching to get back to being a DC. Maybe a Co-DC role.

400K. USCe can't match that. He isn't going anywhere IMO. I also am told by someone close to him that his is very pleased with the SS and knew he was never a candidate for the DC job.

Wasn't Lance DC at UCF? Maybe he doesn't want the job.
He may be happy being a position coach for now.
