we wanted him pretty badly as a matter of fact. i believe he made the right choice coming to UT rather than possibly spending his career stuck behind clemens and dixon.

Just so you know, in 230 attempts last year he didn't have any fumbles. Not that it won't happen sometime, but three would be very very unlikely

he never had any of the above. His checks came from the sidelines. He was never allowed to throw down the field because it overwhelmed his brain. He was scared in the pocket for the entirety of his career. Cutcliffe built our offense around a bunch of three step drop deliveries because it was the extent of what the guy could handle. When we tried to run a real offense around him, it was the biggest disaster in the history of our program.

I absolutely believe Simms has the same potential, but that's just not a very high bar. I know for absolutely certain that Bray has more potential.
